- Today, we do a service call on a Mack MP7 that has a huge oil leak. We had to use our experience to make some quick decisions to get this truck back on the road again. Remember that this video is for entertainment purposes only. Enjoy!!!
You a proper mechanic with a really good positive attitude to work, that’s so good to see. Great problem solving and diagnostic skills.
Keep it up man 👍
@user-cs5xs5rd5k Thank you for the great comment. I am glad you liked the video. Half the battle is mental, so we try and enjoy every moment. 😉
I'ld hang that Schlumberger hard hat in my truck as a souvenir for other times and smile at the good memories of how you got it, LOL ...
You do a great job in the narration leading up to and of the work at hand and the positive and hopeful attitude of it all, thanks man.
Thank you for the great comment 😀. I am glad you enjoyed the content. Oh, and that is my hard hat. I worked for Schlumberger back in the day.
The tapping of air governor air hose fitting was cool! I carry low profile air jack and stand to remove wheel when doing starters, Detroit Air discharge hoses etc.
I'm glad you liked it. Sometimes, we have to come up with some wild ideas out in the field, as you know. Thank you for the comment.
@@RCGdiesel Absolutely! I got 44 years in a service truck doing road service, so it is cool to see a mind at work. Not typical You Tube.
@billcovert3473 44 yrs is a long time. You could teach me a thing or too. Stay safe out there.
Something I keep in stock after running into that issue more than once 👍🇨🇦🔧
@@nvragn Great idea, for sure!
That air fitting on the compressor is junk I have had them break just from looking at them wrong. Love what you did with tapping it to accept normal pipe fitting.
@@TheKiler20 I'm glad you enjoyed it 😉
I agree - that was an impressive fix out in the field.
@workingguy6666 I'm glad you liked it bud!😁
You are a gift from God love your content
@demuntresmith6666 haha that's cool. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate the great comment. 😁
Loving the videos man! Do a truck/tool tour on one of your rainy days! I’m dying to see how big your collection has gotten.
@guccitrail08 Thanks man!! It is on the list of videos to make. I'm glad you enjoyed 😉
You’ll have that on those big jobs 👍🏽 another great video
@PlattyZach Thanks dude!! I am glad you enjoyed it.
I hope you kept that "SCHLUMBERGER" hard top and took it home with you as a trophy.
Haha, that is my hardhat. I used to work with them back in the day.
who'd be a heavy vehicle mechanic, haha. Good job mate. Retired truck driver from Australia. All the best.
@oldbloke100 Thank you bud. I'm sure you have some wild stories. Cheers 🍻
Watched all the videos. Been a Diesel Fleet Mechanic a while now and I’m itching to go solo. These videos are inspiring, minus the probably thousands of dollars per year in laptop programs for all those manufacturers. LOL ouch. Subscribed immediately. 👍
Awesome man, im glad you enjoyed them. Buisness is expensive. If you really want it, you will know when to make the jump. Don't rush it and enjoy the ride.
Keep up the videos, watched all your stuff and enjoy seeing what you’ve got going on.👍🏼
@ZeroHorsePower Thanks man. I really appreciate all the kick ass comments. You guys are awesome. Glad you enjoyed! 😉
I have seen the plug on the ecm cause a miss on these. Unplug and plug it back in while it runs and it goes back to 6 cylinders.
@mrfanman2u That is good info for sure. They have a lot of oil wick problems on the Mack's. It was the injector though, replaced it already 👍
Just found this and dig it !
@dieseldudeky894 Thanks dude!! I am glad that you enjoyed 😉
@@RCGdiesel been in the business for over 30 years been independent in a truck for 20
@@dieseldudeky894 That is a lot of experience. You can show me a thing or two.
Yes those air compressors in those Mack trucks are no fun to change out way in there hard to get to and heavy
@BigTyler It is a tight fit for sure. The air compressors on the paccar mx engines are way more fun 😁.
i assumed since youre a road guy you wouldve known, but all those mack quick connect fittings are rebuildable. you can buy a kit with all the internals.
@@frankenstrat25 That is great news. I love learning something new. Thank you for the comment 😊
I got it. Thanks
@@JOSHUA8CS 😁
I just wanted to pass a little knowledge, use permatex orange thread sealant, its a godsend! Its removable like the blue, but it holds the bolts great! It looks like you are out west, but if you are ever working in the rust belt, use marine grade anti seize. The normal silver stuff washes off. I like your channel!! I subscribed!!
@troy3052 Thanks for the heads up. I'll try that out. Glad you enjoyed 😉
Keep up the good work 🤙🏽
@truckdose Thanks bro!!! I am glad you enjoyed 😉
Wow! and I thought the compressor on my 93 CH was a bear to replace
@AmateurLogger Haha, they are not too bad. The paccar mx13 compressor is the more challenging one from my experience.
Sorry I just seen another thing I actually put a new steering shaft in one of our mixers due to the ripped boot. The steering was binding because of it. Anyway decent video 👍🇨🇦🔧
@@nvragn Yeap, that sounds about right!!
You have an awesome channel!!! Really good at your job. What part of the USA do you work n the name of your company?
@JOSHUA8CS Glad you like it bud!😉
Gracias.

Use your hard hat to collect the bolts and clamps in. Otherwise, fill out your "take 5" booklet to say it's impracticle to wear the hat in a confined workspace. CYA....
@@larryskeeper1197 That actually might work!👍 I hope you enjoyed the video 😁
That dern steering shaft……
@@Brian.Turner873 It's in a great spot!!
Just found your videos if you do the injectors on ths mack mp7 would love to get some of the model numbers from the injectors if your able to provide!
@dodgingbulletspa5966 I did the injectors last week. Sorry bud.
@RCGdiesel no worries hope they weren't a pain for install. Do you replace injectors with remanufactured or brand new?

Completely innovative so, where are you located out of?
@terrellscaife2411 Thank you bud! Phoenix AZ
How hot is it there?
Did you tell them they had a dead cylinder bad injector? They said don't worry about?
@huahin6149 It was only 112deg that day. Yes, I told them. I pulled the injector this morning but that sent us a cummins injector instead 😩. Hope you enjoyed the video Huahin
I'm trying to remember .... what type of riggin was it known as?
@@professor_thunder haha.. neighbor
If there is a failed injector and the compressor rattled off, the morons that own the truck are not taking care of it. The truck loping likely is not a new issue, and the driver, from the sounds of things, was too dumb to know what a proper running engine sounds like. Driver training these days must be a freaking joke, it seems more than half of the drivers on the road no nothing, hell I see drivers that don't even pre-trip their trucks before they just jump in and go, it makes me sick.
@Carstuff111 I do agree that was the problem for sure. I don't get mad about it, though. If it didn't happen, how would it happened, we wouldn't have been able to make this video. Got to love this stuff. Enjoy the ride!!
Either that, or someone told the drive to just keep driving, and ignored every warning.

@@RCGdiesel some people get a bonus if they keep the maintenance and repair budget down. The result is that the accountant avoids approving maintenance and repair. Then the accountant is long gone before the business and equipment can fall apart.
Line go up next fiscal quarter thinking is a reason for corporate America to do such things. It is a sick incentive structure.
@@skylinefever crazy I can tell you that
You seem like a nice guy and all but this road call stuff has ruined the mechanic profession. You cant just be a yes man and work outside like that all the time. Both of those jobs should have been towed in . Im just sayin. Wait until you are older and find out. You will be all busted up. And im telling you from experience. All you young guys dont know whats coming. Ive been doing this since 1987. In shops.
