    Beautiful gardens! My favorite flowers are the Foxglove and Peony. I really like the idea of hanging baskets from the tree.❤

    Wow, amazing transformation! Your hard work is really paying off. It’s been really dry and hot here in Illinois also but good thing our Pink Lady apple tree still has fruits. We lost our peach tree years ago and found it too hard to keep pest free.

      Hi!!! Nice hearing from you. I have been speaying the peaches regularly and it seems to be working so far 🤞🏽. I can't say the same for my roses. Your roses look fantastic! Do you spray them?

      @@ricksgardendiary Thank you. We don't do anything special for the roses. Every spring we just put lots of Moo-nure at their base but otherwise they are left alone. We do have some issues with Japanese beetles but they come later in the summer. We try to keep insects away with companion plants like catmints and marigolds.

    the difference between UK gardens and US gardens, is the UK look after the grass as well as the flowers

    • @ricksgardendiary
      @ricksgardendiary  Před rokem +3

      I'm not sure if you're being passive aggressive about my lack of care for the grass or making a generalization. Either way your ignorance is showing. Many people in the US are obsessed with their lawns, I personally do not care for them. Similarly, in the UK there are many people who don't care for lawns, especially with regard to climate change and water conservation. I am in that camp. We allow clover and dandelions to come up and other native plants. We let it grow long, this is not a golf course or a manor estate. When it's hot and dry, we don't water. The grass goes brown, and greens up when it rains again. Im happy that you have tons of water, rain and time to waste watering and cutting grass. Thanks for stopping by tho.
