I couldn't look at the videos you included of the dog meat trade. This is horrendous!! Honestly, I'm at a loss for words, which rarely happens. Could you tell us what we can do to help stop this? I imagine money is needed. Probably volunteers & fosters &/or permanent homes. Are there petitions that need signatures? Donated supplies? The names of other rescues that do the same as these amazing people? Any info that you can pin in your comment section for everyone to easily see would be amazing! Thank you guys for all you do for these beautiful gifts from God. I wish more humans deserved them.
It's very difficult to stop. I watched a video of woman who rescues some of them. She has to pay the VENDOR... they continued to raise the price they charged per dog and would even beat the dogs more to illicit more money. Its a foreign county and if their government allows it then no amount of throwing money at it will help. Its incredibly hard and upsetting.

I cannot watch this. I used to rescue dogs in Chile when I was an ex-pat there. It was so sad. thank you for giving me a warning before hand.

Dear Cesar, thank you for all you do to rehabilitate animals. I think a big problem in the USA is that most of landlords do not accept animals in their home. So when a tenant is moving out of a home, he does not have easy way to find a next home because landlords don't accept pets. Those the tenants drop the pet into an animal shelter. And if the dog does not find home within a month, they are put to sleep.
That's definitely part of the problem, as is the shortage of affordable housing.

My wife is a vegetation. Makes no sense that we have this much heart for dogs (Which we should) and not for ALL animals. All animals feel, have brains, hearts, and feel pain.

In parts of Spain around February after the hunting season ends hunters will kill dogs, especially greyhounds. It makes no sense to kill dogs who have been trained to hunt, but cultures are different, mind sets differ. In many Latin American countries, dogs and cats are not seen as family members. Cesar himself has stated that he couldn't be doing what he does in Mexico.
It is changing, but glacially.
This will always be a controversial topic, because people don't want yo give up meat, hence they will reserve the right to mistreat animals for own benefit. And natural older does not help in finding arguments.

They are outlawing dog meat in Korea finally. Cambodia has very kind and nice people. Unfortunately, some people aren't kind, and poverty makes ppl do bad things.

This was so hard to watch. I don't know how Mark does what he does. Humanity doesn't deserve dogs. They give themselves heart and soul to their family. The thought of some people still having the capacity to torture animals that have been domesticated and taught to depend on and love humans is absolutely sickening 😢

I believe Cesar's _Dog Psychology Centre_ is in California. He tours the USA, giving presentations, some in which people bring their own dogs and learn how to lead, train, and communicate better with them. You can also watch his past show, _The Dog Whisperer,_ and other, newer shows with him, and his 2 sons, Andre and Calvin, that have been on air for about 20 years.
There are all kinds of dog trainers on YT and elsewhere online - those that use _positive reinforcement_ (R+) techniques are said to be most effective.

It's wild that I've been called a racist and liar for saying people eat dogs and cats in Asia. They have a whole festival every year in China dedicated to it.😂. Wet markets sell almost any animal you can think of. Good ole communist famines seem to be the culprit of it in most areas.
Older generation teach their children how to hit and yell at dogs when all they need is directions. Child grow up doing only what it was thought. By Cesar using his boys to teach correct behavior and directions to animal will only improve both children and dogs. Knowledge is the key to better human better planet of our nation
Sadly, this is an upward (if not impossible) battle…it’s like trying to get Americans to stop eating pork or Russians to stop eating horse. Pork and horse are not the most popular proteins in each respective country but they have become staples on the dining room table.
