It seems people like you don't differentiate between the guide's duty and the person. It's not her character, that is what she has to do as a north korean guide. You'll find other guide do exactly the same.

I am in New York. I can see that Chinese citizens have the same questions Americans have for those in North Korea. For example you asked if they stay at same job until retirement or apply for a new job. For Americans and Chinese, you can apply and change jobs. That sounds natural. But North Korea is so mysterious, we don’t know.
I think they slowly opening to the world.
The citizens of the DPRK don't particularly trust foreigners and don't want to reveal too many things concerning their daily lives.
you don't choose your job, the factories submit requests for university graduates, and then those university graduates go to work there, you could be moved by your goverment if workers are needed in another region or factory, the same applied in the soviet union and still applies in north korea
correct, i saw this in other NK video where the tourist was German Korean and the young man wanted to be an army officer but the government decided he was no strong enough physically and they chose for him to study at the university instead, then he works in the big famous swimming pool.
