I was adopted into a w h i t e white family at 3 days old and can 100% relate. Had the countdown, timeouts, "grounded" once, spanked once - deserved. Had the best childhood I could have ever asked for but his scenario was super relatable

He deserves a longer set! I could really see a whole hour special of this guy, I saw some others mention it but he's got a contagious smile and good wit, even if I was wasn't laughing I was always smiling. Very good!
Honestly it's rare you get comedians who are just genuinely funny and double down on it, this dudes definitely one of em, hope too see him blow.

Shapel live is fuckin hilarious. I saw Brendan live once in Phoenix a couple years ago and his set was literally about being friends with Rogan, Sober October and what not. He's cool on podcasts but I figured that new special would be trash hahah

Dude was not lying at all about his cheerleading skills. I just watched it. His comedy and athletic skills I think are right on par with each other. Both very exceptional and seemingly natural. Probably one of my favorite comedians now. I really like stories like this. He probably could have excelled in any sport he chose, and he was comfortable enough to be a cheerleader at a time when it probably wasn't as accepted as it is today. Really says a lot about his character. It's rare that I approve of both the comedian and the comedian's character, and this is one of those exceptions. 5 stars!

That's his first set? I worked at The Improv in the 70's, lots of future famous comics performed. Shapel is right up where Andy Kauffman and Jay Leno were back then.
