Bubba And The Big Bad Blues is a Southern California band deeply influenced by Freddie King, Steve Ray Vaughan, Allman Brothers or Gov’t Mule to mention a few of them.
Bubba’s powerful voice and impressive guitar playing lead with precision and strength a band where, for this recording, includes different outstanding rhythm sections, in a repertoire that ranges from Texas blues to Californian rock-blues and even the new funk and rhythm and blues that is now cooked in New Orleans.
Produced by drummers Tony Braunagel and Nick D’Virgilio, the recording features ten Bubba’s original songs plus two covers. In all of them Bubba and his musicians show how versatile they are when they attack a wide wild repertoire, perfect to awake and catch lovers of the new contemporary black music that is cooked in the XXI century as, not in vain, Bubba and the rest of the musicians gather an extensive experience built up working for quite a long time with such great artists like Wilson Pickett, Ike Turner, Big Jay McNeely, Roy Gaines, Kim Wilson, Kid Ramos, John Mayall or Charlie Musselwhite among others.
Joining Bubba (guitar and vocals) are Nick D’Virgilio, Tony Braunagel, Jason Lozano, Shawn Nourse, Doug Swanson, Mike Barry, Johnny Bazz, Jacob Dupre, Mike Finnigan, Rick Solem, Richard Rosenberg, Joe Sublett, Les Lovitt, and Sophia D’Virgilio.

Good morning dear Don. Yeah, it's me. I haven't faded into the distance yet and, this week's incredible song has pushed me to comment. The lyrics, which in places describe my feelings at present. Yeah, Drifting. Shore lines are fading and so many other engulfing words capturing the essence. The instrumental part, also in such harmony with the lyrics and singing with that soft gentle haunting voice. As for me - certainly inexpectable style. I'd name it California or Bubba way. Due to insert more melodic passes then in standard rythmic blues. May be this is aboriginal to California yet from time of Hotel California by Eagles.
