    Camber: Take 'er for a rip and see how it handles on dirt/grass/road then make your decision from there. I think it's a *bit* too much camber, but I'm just a bumblefsck armchair engineer. :)

  • @anthonyharwin7937
    @anthonyharwin7937 Před 2 lety +3

    Negative camber will hurt turn in…front end will be lazy on corner entry and since a solid rear axle means the kart relies on unloading the inside rear wheel, it will likely understeer too much. Now I realize it won’t be on pavement but the effect will be the same. Looks cool but I think you should stand em up.

    Consider a clear or "satin" clear coat for the kart, after you have the rust blasted off of course. Everyone always does black or red, but I'd love to see one in a raw metal look one day.

    I dont really care for the camber. If it were my kart I would make it have zero camber but clock the knuckles back so the tires bite when you turn and it will want to track straight. Plus it helps take the weight off the inside rear tire when you turn. Just my two cents plus it is not my build....

  • @ironhorsethrottlemaster5202

    What I think you should do is straighten up those pipes that the wheels are on triangulated so what has strength and make the wheels camber correct also I think you should put some kind of front suspension on this thing if it's really fast that's going to keep you from damaging the frame the frame will absorb the shock if you have no suspension you've got to put some kind of front suspension on that thing it's if it's fast good luck man God bless Happy Thanksgiving and may Jesus bless you and all your endeavors peace out into the world have a great day

  • @Tyresong
    @Tyresong Před 2 lety +1

    Too much negative camber, pointless on rounded tyres. It'll cause problems with toe over rough ground and make you every which way but straight, best Idea is to cut the things off and replace them with a setup that corrects the height, or use 16" tyres and flip them back the right way up (that's what I would do)

    @willieshaw2522 Před 2 lety

    Set for 1-2* neg camber MAX - I prefer 0 -1* pos camber for handling and looks. Not a fan of changing the angle built into the spindle to change camber - this can make the tire follow an odd arc in turns if there is also camber built into the spindle bracket.

    Loose the camber. It is way to much. A little resource on how different kingpin angles can make the tires dig in on corners but just to run it like that just looks stupid in my opinion. Ground contact patch is way too small and basically on the inner shoulder of your tires. Tire life is down the toilet that way.

  • @NotMeeither
    @NotMeeither Před 2 lety

    The camber looks just as stupid on that as it does on everything else that has had it set like that !
    That being said since the camber is from flipping the spindles it will do just the opposite of what kingpin angle does , it will unload the inside tire in turns instead of loading it.
    So for looks get rid of it , for handling get rid of it and for safety get rid of it !

  • @FJ80Coop
    @FJ80Coop Před 2 lety

    That camber is useless other than causing sketchy handling and accelerating tire wear.. It's too extreme to gain any traction in any terain or pavement...1degree negative or less maximum will net you maximum traction due to maximum tread footprint during cornering on dirt or pavement... Unless you're in Japan,Korea,or Thailand where it's a fashion statement and considered cool by the ricers then that is redonkulous without an articulating suspension... Looks as todded as the Gayolina squat too but hey wouldn't hurt anyone snowflakes feelers with the truth or facts yanno...😐
