- Just off Soi Buakhao on the cut thru to New Plaza Pattaya Thailand. You will find "Tuk" the Chicken & Sweetcorn soup Lady. She makes The Best soup I have had in Pattaya. Just 40 baht for a large bowl. Absolutely delicious, & sets you up for the day. open from 9am to 5pm most days. Tuk also does omelettes, fried chicken, chicken and rice etc. all freshly prepared. free water available too. Go and say hello. you won't regret it?

@@timmyhiggins5220 Thailand is not perfect but the plight of the UK & Ireland is worry in the longer term. The sordid underbelly in Pattaya is well hidden from sight. One day one of these vloggers will try to share this! For now, I'll continue to enjoy Geoff's vlogs and keep to the bright side of life that he tries to bring.

Don't know if it's Tuk's stall but right near there they have garlic flavour rotisserie chicken which is absolutely delicious.

@gerard henry I've spent a lot of time in India & generally seem to have much better stomach condition when in Thailand.
@@alanh1169 Depends where you go, portion sizes can vary. I've had some pretty big portions for low prices, and it's quite possible to get small portions in the more expensive places.
@gerard henry You certainly can. Many local eateries have same size, or bigger portions than Kiss, and cheaper. I guess you are talking about the little snack stalls that sell grilled chicken on a stick etc. Go inside a proper local eatery, pay 50 bhat, and have a nice green curry or fried chicken with rice etc.
We're off to Pattaya in March next year and your videos basically made us book it! Absolutely buzzing about visiting Tuk.

The street food in Thailand is delicious and very cheap! That fried chicken looked better than what I can get where I live and at a fraction of the cost.

Great video, thank you Jeff. Genuine question, perhaps a dumb question. When she prepares the chicken for the soup, she chops the raw chicken on the wooden block. When she finishes the next dish, she chops the cooked chicken on what appears to be the same wooden block using the same cleaver. How does that not result in cross contamination and food poisoning? I assume the cleaver gets washed but cleaning the wood block properly would seem difficult. Or am I missing something?
The white chicken is cooked. The hygene standard of these food stalls is good. If they made people ill they wouldn't be trading for very long.

Just arrived back home after 14 excellent days in Phuket.
For anyone thinking of going, I recommend going in low season and for such a long trip you need to stay there at least 3 weeks.
Geoff (or anyone else who cares to respond), do you know of a reliable taxi service with a mini-bus that you have used yourself? Usually we just take a quick and easy regular taxi but our group is 5 people with luggage this time. I've found several online but I'd prefer to have a recommendation. Thanks!
