I was lucky enough to have met Geoff in person, completely by chance while I was in Bangkok Soi 4 Nana at the Stumble Inn bar last week. I wondered into Soi 4 in the afternoon hoping to people watch, and instead I had the best afternoon drinking in a long while, and watching people gather around Geoff while he tells fascinating stories and cracks jokes took me back to my Uni days in the UK.
Geoff, it was absolute pleasure meeting you, and I hope to meet you again soon in the future... All the best, and my goal is to read the Alchemist this week. For everyone else... if you ever in in doubt about what the future will bring... i strongly suggest you spend an afternoon with Geoff.
@Simon Curtis , I will admit.. i enjoy people watching especially in Soi 4 Nana, as people drop their "Masks" and you get to see "real & raw" life going past you, especially when you are sipping on golden liquid.
Aziz. Thailand has soooooo much to offer however from MY experience, people watching is a very enjoyable and relaxing part of the experience of Thailand. It is sooo multicultural in the tourist scene that watching people go about their ways can be an enlightening experience.....even quite fascinating. An education perhaps in itself to see how so many different types of people react in similar scenarios to each other. 🙏🏼👍🏼

That was a nice walk around, showing us the place early in the morning when you can see a lot more. Later on in the day I’m more “people watching” so this way, I can actually look at the shops etc 😁
That aquarium on soi 15 was stunning but most times when passing the "Hideaway" bar its empty and at 80bht for a beer its why.

I really enjoy the walks around town. I'm eagerly awaiting my first trip to pattaya and I think the videos have taught me alot. I think I can make my way around town with no problems.

Most any 4 or 5 star hotel in Pattaya is going to have a nice expensive breakfast buffet. If you want to pay top dollar, go to a different 5 star hotel every morning!
Geoff, I was there in early November and you make me want to return. At 14:15 that intersection really is crazy most of the day. Just to the right is Nikom Court (under the Areca sign). Get food from several nearby vendors and a cheap beer from the cooler in Nikom, and chat someone up or watch the nearby street mayhem. Almost directly across on the left is Cheap Charlie's with assorted breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices with beer, wine, coffee, tea, sodas, milkshakes, etc. I stayed just around the next corner to the right at Br Guesthouse...under $20 and safe, clean, quiet... and air con., wifi, and shower in room work well. Thanks for taking me back!
That AT ALL bar is great geoff if you want a quiet drink, not expensive and no hassle with bar girls, and if you like football, they have 3 different screens showing different live matches at same time , good vlog mate

Never seen Soi Buakhao at 7 in the morning, very few Farangs around. I'm always mesmerized by that fantastic aquarium whenever I walk past & been in the restaurant several times. Hope the party goes well tomorrow Geoff, enjoyed last years but can't make this one.

That "crazy corner" is good value. The bar on the opposite corner usually has a spaghetti vender outside, Good stuff!
Mmm rice soup with a bit of ginger , really good for a upset tummy , a old Thai lady told me that and it worked a treat .
Was in pattaya in November and going back in February, Pattaya is still great for prices on beer and food, 60/70 baht for Chang and 60/90 baht for dinner, keep smiling Geoff 😁
What's with girls? Nobody go there for only food... I think the prices for a lt are the same as every year or maybe now more. It means when I would have a st maybe for 2000, that's over 50 euros... More expensive than in euro countries

Well Philippines is cheaper, it's friendlier, and they welcome tourists and ex pats. There's no comparison - okay Pattaya has the gogo bars but what a scam they are. I'm off to Philippines.

i watched your vlogs on the philippines the food and drink looked cheaper and when you went out to the island it was cleaner with more couples and familys, it looks like there cleaning the place up people will go for those reasons
May had a deeper voice than you Sir Geoff. Quality video. You're right about the Philippines. it's not that cheap. Nowhere is if you stick to the tourist bars. Go small. Best way anywhere on the planet.
