    One thumbs up is not enough!
    So does the pulley connected to the motor connect to the elevator while the idle pulley connects the counterweight?
    Would really like to see a room like this on a skyscraper with some floor to floor elevators and a high speed run.

      Yes it's like that, the idle pulley connects the counterweight, this is just a 5 storey building but very intresting, I hope you will see a place like this some time

    Very neat installation, having the controller for all three in one cabinet. Are these duplex controllers? I saw what appears to be a micro drive / tail twister motor next to the brakes, which appears to cut in after the primary hoist motor cuts out for leveling/slowing the car on the landings. The idle sheave appears on the order of a guide sheave offsetting the ropes between the driven and idle. Is there a deflector sheave located beneath the machine base? I presume these are induction motors 3 phase 340 or higher VAC w phase reserving relays.

    awesome stuff! so it just uses contactors to switch on and off the motor and control direction? and the flywheel/monentum of things give it a smooth ride?

    • @MrTesla1337
      @MrTesla1337  Před 6 lety +1

      It has a soft start and soft shut down with the SCRs you can se at 3:20 and the contactors swithes the motor
      Thanks for commenting

    I noticed many of the elevators I ride have a distinct whizzing sound of around 6kHz.. Any idea where is it coming from? Which part is causing this sound I mean.

      My guess would be that it's the sound of the carrier frequency of the variable frequency drive (VFD) running the elevator's motor.

    What do you recommend for 10 floors high rise building? How much HP motor for high rise building 10 floors?

    Hey just wondering, if this lift motor czcams.com/video/id5MYU5J5lE/video.html is the same as the one in this video? Looks identical but the one I filmed seems to have louder brakes?

    There seems to be a lot of relay noise do they also control the indicator lamps in the lift?

    • @MrTesla1337
      @MrTesla1337  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes there is a lot of relays for starting with soft start and by-pass the SCRs and the floor indicators are connected to the relays, the three clicks when the motor stops is for slow shutdown and the brake, you can see the brake at 1:20

    What is the motor voltage 208 or 480 3 phase or 240 single phase

    • @MrTesla1337
      @MrTesla1337  Před 4 lety +2

      The motor voltage is 400V three phase
