Brilliant video, no faffing around just the details we want to see. Nice work.
Thanks!
like this format, short, on point, no bs. subscribed.
Believe it or not, this is one of my favorite ships in SC. I can't wait until we can attach and detach the pods. My friends and I will be using this little guy a lot to move cargo around. Fits in a lot of future ships we're looking forward to as well. 😊
Agreed! It's definitely fun to fly and the modularity will be even better.
Snubs should at least have a short range QT. Something that would take you around a planet and its moons and allow you to escape imminent danger. Like the 85x. They are useless otherwise.
A short range QT would be great for snubs. Give it a very small fuel tank, just enough to fly around a moon once or twice.
if you raise the landing gear it can fit in the back of a corsair and fits quiet nicely
Ah, I hadn't tried that. Good to know! Alas, I only had the ship for a limited time so I couldn't try all the combinations.
i like the music this time upload! Thanks for jumping on this
Thanks!
i like its size and if it will get search and rescue variant i might use it for polaris
Really want a tractor that can carry one 32 scu box, will be helpful when loading large cargo ships
The RAFT can carry 32 SCU boxes, but the tractor beam is not setup yet. Hopefully CIG installs it soon.
i do hope it can lift mroe then 16 scu an put on a ship
Good daily driver
Finding quantum dull, I'd happily dance around a space station in decoupled doing hull loading and I truly want to believe this ship will allow me to pursue that craft and eek out an existence, living on a station. The massive oversight (intentional?) of 32scu from its undercarriage completely negates this dream, rendering it a little useless for space cargo decks. I'd even be happy attaching it sideways and saying 'the thrusts and un-aerodynamic state of the 32scu means it's unable to do this in Atmo' was a thing. Therefore giving more prominence and requirement for *actual* infrastructure to places, yet granting convenience and lore-like requirements for space station loading and use of this thing.
....
I really want to use this lil guy =(
I do wonder what the point of the other variants is now, this just seems like it's better. Even with its price, it's only slightly more than the cargo and the same price as the personnel.
Well currently this variant is slower than the others, so it's a drawback, but that will probably change once the MPUVs become fully modular.
It needs an attachable pod that has qt
That's an interesting idea!
My question is, can you pick up ground vehicles like the Mule?
Yes, the front Tractor beam is a size 2 and can pick up many smaller ground vehicles. I'll have to test it to see the max size/weight of vehicle. I'm not sure on the rear tractor beam for vehicles. And tractor beam strength may change between patches.
@Sneemaster Thank you! I should have been clearer. I was wondering if the Tractor could attach the Mule to it's cargo grid. I appreciate the quick response Snee. Very cool 😎
@@Captain_Max Ah :) I will have to try to put a vehicle on the cargo grid to see if they stay there, but because it's upside down, we'll need a tractor beam to load it.
@@Sneemaster Should be interesting! I'll try as well when I get home. 😁👍
I want to want this ship… but I just can’t see it being useful until they allow us to contract ourselves out to hull acá and for it to make sense. Financially for the hull Cs
Yep, being able to contract out to help load other ships would make a big difference in gameplay.
@@Sneemaster I’d love to contract myself out.
Think of when personal hangars and self loading of cargo shows up.
It might just be useful as a mini ship alongside the c2
@@schlagzahne6741 I can see cargo players having their own, but it really just depends on cost. I’m worried many will just choose to have the AI do it. I’d rather players have to do it.
@@asog88 The nice thing is you don't really have to worry what other players do. Just do it the way you like to do it. I would like to load my own cargo, but there are times where I won't have time. I think it's good that players can pay for the convenience. It's like the real world and doesn't take away any of the immersion.
I'm just frustrated that they gold standarded a ship and want us to pay to upgrade to it or wait till they eventually update the original versions.
Agreed, and this applies to a lot of ships that get a new variant that's updated but not the original ones. It can get frustrating.
@@Sneemaster I would agree somewhat if this was a variant. But this is supposed to be the same ship, just with swapable modules.
Yeah, agreed, that's the messed up part. It's technically the same ship, although this one has slower speed than the other "variants", so that's even weirder.
