Isn't it funny, Quin Rose is pigment violet 19 and Quin Violet is pigment red 122. Seems like White Night has it correct actually!

Da Vinci Red Rose Deep is my favorite rose. The MH looks lovely as well.

I have Quin Rose in almost every brand, and my favorite 2 are Da Vinci Red Rose Deep (Quinacridone) , and Daniel Smith Quin Rose.
I don’t have any of Da Vinci’s other quin rose variations… I just looked again and they have 4! All pv19. but from swatches I’ve seen red rose deep is the deepest and most pigmented. I’m tempted to try the others though , they’re so well priced here in US.
Great video! I am always excited to see you post a swatch compare 😁❤️✨

Sorry I was wrong! I looked closer and it looks like They only have 2 pure pv 19 quin roses . I don’t know if they changed the formula but on blick it says Rose madder quin has pr88 in it along with the pv19

@@flyinghaggertys9362 I have the old version with PR88 but it appears they have changed it now, because on DaVinci's website it now just says PV19. Blick's info is old. They do have FIVE PV19 colors, but 2 are reds. I love their Permanent Alizarin but the Quin Carmine disappointed me.

Michael Harding 👍. His pigments are always very saturated. 🎉❤

Pv19 was the first pigment that I learned about, unfortunately at the time I didn't realize that the pigment is very versatile so I ended up buying colors that I didn't like 😂 I definitely love winsor and newton's the most, from what I personally tried their is the most pinkish out of all 🥰

It's not your water -- the M. Graham quins, phthalos and Nickel Azo Yellow/Green all flocculate. I learned just recently that most brands use additives to prevent that, but I guess M. Graham chooses to not do that. It looks bad in swatches, but I find that in actual painting, I never notice. M. Graham is the brand that I most changed opinions about -- between the stickyness and flocculation, at first I was not into it. But now they are one of my very favorites!
Davinci Rose Madder Deep used to have PR88 in it as well, but it is no longer noted on the website. So I guess that means they now have THREE shades of pure PV19 pure rose pink (the others being Red Rose Deep and Permanent Rose Quinacradone).
I'm kind of off Daniel Smith since the Primatek thing, but I do really love theirs. I also love Mjello!

I definitely agree with your choices also. I liked how the MH flowed on the paper. And love DS and Senn paints. All the swatches have similar color but the process/ application seemed to go down differently. Did you try QOR? Really enjoyed the video and thanks for swatching them for us to see! ❤

you go to the trouble to write all the names on your swatch, and then paint over them,.

It helps to see the transparency of the colour by having something under the paint s
