  • It all began with a single cell. In the course of almost four billion years, this one cell evolved into the diversity of life that exists on the planet today. We have been able to classify and give a name to around 1.8 million species so far, but there are in fact many more species that no one has ever seen. Estimates range from 10 million to 100 million!

When I was a young boy, I was super fortunate and was taken on a trip to NZ with my Aunt and Uncle and Cousins. We went camping and the people we were visiting were excited to show us the Kea's. They're the most fascinating things ever to watch! Those little buggers get into everything, so smart. You can't even get angry when they steal from you because it's just so impressive. They always wanted the dogs' food, one or two would distract him while another one would untie his lead from a tree, when he chased the birds...the others would swoop in and steal his food. Super cute animal, but that sound they make can drive you mental. NZ was like stepping into Jurassic Park or something, they have some crazy cool animals that I had no idea existed. LOVE that country and the people there, it was like Canada (where I'm from) but better :D

"As yet, no water exists." 1:52
Not on the surface, but enough of it to fill oceans existed in the ashy atmosphere, most as water vapour in a saturated atmospheric layer too hot for liquid water to exist, but still an immense quantity of liquid water over it, in tiny muddy droplets forming a thick overcasting cloud all around the Earth.
It is in such a Hadean cloud that life probably started. Immensely more likely than in hydrothermal vents. Each water droplet a tiny laboratory with no need of cell membrane, subject to all kinds of energy gradients and varying conditions of all types and with a great quantity and variety of chemicals to play with. Given that (a) the ocean-size-comparable overall volume of that water, ever increasing as the saturated atmospheric layer cooled down and lost thickness, was much much larger than hydrothermal vents could later span as oceans filled, and other characteristics to consider such as temperatures and concentration of chemicals, I have no doubt that life began in the early or mid Hadean atmosphere.

There is something to see, feel, hear, smell and taste. Acquistion of any one of these is tantamount to the Big Bang and we have 7..., at least. I shudder at the thought of enumerating them all that is in life as we know it. 7? Big Bang, life. our 5 and every firework in between.

Humans will spend a lifetime trying to figure out the earth and all that's in it, something we will never be able to do. Why? Because we come from the earth(a part of it), something that was here before humans. Our brains, no matter how much we study or how smart we are, are not equipped to put it all together. If that were the case, it would be done already. There is a Creator who some of us refused to except and will continue to walk around lost and in darkness of the Truth. There is no searching of His understanding. This Meaning, we can never understand the way He does things because His thoughts and ways are above ours. Think about it, the One who created the brain has to have a bigger brain (more knowledge, more wisdom, and more understanding) to put together the human brain so perfectly. If this is the case, how can the human brain figure out the things of the One who designed and created the brain? Your knowledge, wisdom, and understanding would have to supercede His. Will not happen, does not work in reverse. We really have to stop in this fast-paced world and look around us to "SEE" the details in the earth. It's not by chance or a BIG, BANG, BOOM, that the earth and everything in it is all connected. It's better to seek the One who has all the answers. #WeStillThankGodForScientist #ManyBlessings 🙏🏽

You said this film was a week ago, but it was 4:3 screen size. Then it was/should be twenty years ago (also the narrative style was very old.) So it s unfair to argue with the theory/people, decades ago. Anyway...i wanna insist that Darwin suggestion is BOTTOM -UP pathway of evolution (many modern Biologist are against it.) But all the observed phenomenon occurred in /like TOP-DOWN manner, called the INTELIGENT DESIGN from the creator being !?!
How can you explain the Progression of Colony of single-celled Zooids, called the Pyrosomes, whose appearence are the Giant White Python/Snake, but actually is hollow inside, how can there exist the being such as Murray Eels and the Sea Snake,( what ever colored.) Fully filled with functional /internal organ of digestion and connective Muscular/tendon to the solid core/bony skeleton, for motion. Not to mention the sensory organs and nerve system (to the central brain, at top tool). These interrelated organ had evolved altogether, didn't exist at all inside the Sponge body of the zooids, pyrosomes, the same snake-like creature which actually/totally different from inside-out. That s the question on how single cells evolved into colony and how colony differentiated into differed function groups of cells whose selectively organized duty was very useful/adaptive into adventage benefit of living, finally permanently recorded into genetic coding level. Passing on to Descendants.
The complexity/complicated stuffs are in the details, which only Bio-molecular chemist will understand. I mean the DNAs, genomes and Chromosomes kinda things. And of couse the strange of (non-randomness) of perMutation and combinations of chance of the Survival vs handicapped (hidden) Phenotype...In sir Charles time, nobody knew these stuffs, let alone the biochemistry of Watson and Crick 's DNAs discovery, some centuries later.(not decades.) Means the "Origin of Species" is already a phenomenal Classics piece of work (of all time). Please remember the TOP DOWN idea of inteligent design versus the blindly fandom BOTTOM UP original/old theme of natural selection.
Actually the INTELIGENT design theme were much much older than sir Charles', perhaps Two thousand years older (...) according to the Book of Holliness. (I m not christian or any others.!?! Just dedication of knowledgeable Science)

@@Radrook353 You're assuming the "instructions" are part of a designed plan to create "brains." Brains could be a by-product of random forces formed during early Earth in the primordial soup. RNA was created in that environment. It naturally and randomly self-replicates and can store information.
The RNA came from nucleotides that bonded together. Unstable RNAs quickly broke down, but stable molecules grew and finally, self-copying RNA formed. Some RNAs were better at copying themselves than others, so they persisted and became more abundant - natural selection at its most fundamental.
In the 1950s, American chemists Stanley Miller and Harold Urey devised experiments to try to prove that organic building blocks necessary for life could form spontaneously under the conditions seen on primordial Earth and transmit information. They built a closed system containing gases thought to be present back in the day - ammonia, nitrogen, hydrogen - and a heated pool of water. Next, they sent sparks of electricity through the system to represent lighting flashes that might have provided energy to kickstart chemical reactions on the primordial planet.
Then they let the system stew, and after around a week, they found organic molecules, including sugars, amino acids, and fats.
Their experiment showed that organic building blocks formed spontaneously on early Earth, laying the foundation for more complex molecules like RNA and DNA later on.

@@counterculture10 The evidence of a planning mind at work is too compelling for me to attribute it t random chance. So guess we simply disagree. Your example of some chemical reaction does not offer a satisfactory explanation for wall the intricacies that coordinated themselves to produce a brain. It doesn't explain the emergence of biological molecular machines to repair the DNA. Nor the appearance of RNA which is specifically configured to read the DNA info and to transmit it to molecular machines can carry out the instructions. All of this indicates a planning mind at work and ignoring it, by glibly saying that it was all merely chance, simply because we might be theophobic, will neither refute the evidence nor make it go away.

At about 47:30 we hear that 'all things that have a bearing on life are interrelated' ... then we hear that 'evolution' came up with the blueprint for arms that is used by all terrestrial vertebrates. (what! 'evolution' did this all by itself?)
Somehow, that doesn't sound to me like 'evolution' is the result of blind chance and random, unplanned and unguided, development.
It sounds more like 'evolution' is something planned for and executed to a high degree of directed precision.
The rest of the video makes the same point to an even greater degree.
Oh dear, it seems that some cherished beliefs may have been inadvertently trashed.

Darwin's actual theory has been credited to him in its new more adapted version, however the theory is a religion itself causing circular logic to be used instead of admitting fault in the consept. How do you define the age of dinosaurs lets say, by the layerof earth they're found ofcourse, and how do you determine the age of such layers, well by what's found in them ofcourse.
The fact that a bearded ape, the greatest ape of them al, wrote a short theory for the freemasons of academia is ABSOLUTELY a religion in the sense that the dogma may NOT be questioned, ever.

Snakes are lizards with vestigial limbs, such as whales are mammals, with vestigial hinde legs and forearms adapted into flippers for swimming, that still retain skeletal digits.
Insects are arthropods, from the family of animals with no internal skeletons, as they have exoskelotons and segmented body parts, such as crabs, arachnids, isopods and all other insects.
Birds are dinosaurs with limbs adapted for flight. Bats are mammals, with similar adaptions. They do not share a recent common ancestor, but convergent evolution, often follows the same solutions for similar problems.
Technically, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, dinosaurs are different fonts of land dwelling fish.

The theory of evolution has been proven again and again, withstood each and every serious attack and has evolved a lot since Darwin, hence it is considered fact, by each and every scientist and rational thinking person in the world.
