Fucking hell his lyrics! Just amazing.
I loved this album. I had just moved to Bahrain the year this came out and I would listen to it over and over on my Discman with speakers in my apartment. It gave me comfort and made me feel close to home.
For me, different story, but same feelings. This is what music is about 🙂

Starts like a “melty”, ballad intro, but it turns out to be powerful, always full of sentiment though.

Felt nice to revisit this after ..may be 22 years..thought I had left it back there...no it is still in there..as loud and clear as it was on my cassette.
Love R.E.M. and their moodiness in a lot of their songs and this one is near the top. I want to see them in concert .
