  • How to Reset CMOS and Fix Display Issues. If you are using a computer with Windows 10 and have found issues like your display stops working all of a sudden, this is a potential fix for display issues like this.
You can also reset your CMOS - Reset BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for 1-2 minutes and then turning your computer back on.
Some motherboards don't have the CLR_CMOS pins on the motherboard so you may not be able to clear your CMOS using this method.
You will have to reset your CMOS using the method by removing the CMOS battery. If you can't find your battery you may have to remove your Graphics card.
Another option is to update your BIOS in the hopes this resolves whatever issue you are experiencing.

You can put a flat screwdiver on both pins for a few seconds, and you have reset cmos

    AA CODE ERROR???
7/19/2024 I too experienced a AA trouble code on a B550 Aorus Master w/ 5600x. What led up to this code was a series of crashes that I noticed first in the web browsers I use giving me the 'Aw Snap!' notice. Over the past few months I would get a crash screen and the monitor would go dark.
I didn't understand how this was happening because all my drivers and Win11 updates were all current and everything was running on all cylinders, so what's the problem? Well, after much research I narrowed down to a CMOS reset, and this kept failing, so what gives? So I took a battery tester and the 2032 CR battery was dead as a wooden nickel. So a quick trip to the store and repeating the CMOS reset process seemed to solve the issue...
I highly recommend you try this simple solution first before messing around with anything like flashing your BIOS, but be sure to go into BIOS and make sure everything is working and the BIOS is current or needs a flash, also double check your divers, this may or may not solve your specific problem, but it worked for me. Hope this helps fren.

Try removing your graphics card and checking the contacts on the PCIe slot. If all looks fine, put the card back in and try again. If you have integrated graphics, see if they work.

I think the CMOS battery is behind the GPU, I will try that and hopefully that’ll fix my “NO SIGNAL” problem because I don’t want to play around too much in case I mess something up y’know…. But hoping for it to work, otherwise… idk.

Previously it was constantly displaying “the amount of system memory has changed” messages upon reboot. Now it doesn’t even boot anymore.
