    Thank you for this video. Sincerely.
    I had to have my coil on cylinder 3 replaced a year ago. All spark plugs were replaced as well. I just had that same coil go bad today, 2 hours away from home (I took a trip with my kids). Same symptoms as before, and O'Reilly's code reader said cylinder 3 was misfiring (again). Used this video to get my repair done in a matter of minutes, and now I'm home safe with my daughters. Not sure if my engine is messed up somewhere else that is causing this, or if I got a cruddy coil last time, but at least it's fixed for now.

      That is awesome. Thank you for sharing. It sounds like a successful repair. It is possible the same coil just went bad.

    For iridium plugs, I thought they say don't gap them? At least in my Toyota manual

    • @InsaneOil
      @InsaneOil  Před 9 měsíci

      My repair manual said to gap them to .043. See 3:03 in the video.

      For the DENSO spark plugs I got they say don't gap them. He got a Autolite plugs so I don't know if the same applies. Anyways, according to the repair manual, the electrode gap can go from 0.039 to 0.043 in.

      Without seeing it and going off of what you described, I would take a look at this video as a starting point. czcams.com/video/K6Kxn-rabzQ/video.html

    What was that lubrication that you used?

    • @InsaneOil
      @InsaneOil  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Anti-Seize for the threads and Di-Electric Grease for the boots.

      @hjer731 Před 3 měsíci +1

      dont apply anti seize btw. It will mess with your torque specs

    What do I use to clean the spark plug holes if I don’t have easy access to compressed air? Assuming keyboard cleaner isn’t enough

    • @InsaneOil
      @InsaneOil  Před 3 měsíci

      You could try using a vacuum (or shop vac).

    On my 2003 4 cyl Camry, one of the 10mm bolt holes for its ignition coil is stripped. Any idead for how to secure it?

    • @InsaneOil
      @InsaneOil  Před 7 měsíci

      Off the top of my head I would say run a tap of the same size down the hole and then very gently install the bolt with a little threadlocker or retap it to barely one size larger (even if it is SAE) or get a little longer bolt that might reach some of the good threads at the bottom and shim the head if necessary.

      @InsaneOil  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Or get a different valve cover from the junk yard.

      Fuel injector? Run a fuel treatment and see if that solves it.
