He is blinded by her daughter's concern and will go to any lengths to ensure that she is safe and well protected. Even if it means he dumps her on a dignified and conscientious soul like Khursheed & spoil his life in process.

The misunderstanding is the result of lack of proper communication between Rutba and her father and husband . She should have tried her best to explain exactly what had happened
Khursheed Bhai sune tab na Rutba ki.Bas kuch dekha aur suna aur faisla kar liya. Don't expect this from khursheed ،really disappointed.
Rubta had also seen khursheed with that miss shameem the first day of her arrival but she didn't keep such doubtful thoughts in her mind i think khursheed should have listened to rubta coming to the results without listening to the culprit is technically wrong (i don't say rubta is culprit i just couldn't think of any other word)
