Its still heartbreaking seeing Gia have to play the Mother role at such a young age😥
Im not saying its right but that's pretty normal in the Italian culture, specially if the MOTHER is/was in jail.

It’s very sweet when she tells them they can miss school but knows Gabriella will still want to go. As loud and out there as she is considerate of her kids different personalities.
Yeah that's what I love about her parenting style. She embraces each one of them. It's so nice. I can also see that because of their mom, none of them compete with each other or have a low self esteem. She's so gentle with Gabrielle knowing she's shy. It's sweet.

Gabriella is always so reserved. There’s a calm & quiet confidence about her.

I've always felt like this is something we shouldn't of seen. This was a super private emotional moment for their family.
You know what? I think I half agree. Like in theory my heart is with you. But also I guess the pure genuineness and heart wrenching realness made me and millions of others understand and empathize so much more with them. People make mistakes, and should be allowed to redeem themselves and not have to suffer. So that’s definitely a silver lining I think that this footage provided the world.

The smile on Joe’s face was genuine! He wasn’t use to doing the father work by himself! Teresa looks after they babies so well he’s never worried about them. 2:55 Joe heart was pumping a mile a minute! I know he missed tf outta her.

Out of all of the franchises through the years and out of all of the big, memorable Housewives moments, this one is and always will be my very favorite. From the moment, in season 1, that we were first introduced to Teresa, it was abundantly clear - the unbreakable, unparalleled and undeniable pure love she has for her beautiful daughters and this scene fully captures it, as viewers we literally feel it. ❤️

Gia is going to make a great mother one day! She had to spend years mothering her own siblings, her children will love her so much
After raising her siblings and all the trauma the family has gone through, she might not even want children of her own.
Joe seemed like he wasn't that excited to see her come home at first, her children mad me wanna cry they were so excited to see her it's hard not having you're mother around.
Probably because Joe knew it was the beginning of being deported for him. Joe’s parents never finalized his citizenship and as a result he got deported due to the severity of his charges. Joe now lives permanently in Italy.

@@soleil2269 the laws were different back in the day. There were other kinds of Visas one could get. My own dad had permanent residency due to the nature of his fathers work so thankfully my dad did it not have to bother with immigration at all. Current law states that after three years one can apply for Citizenship. The fact that Joe spent all this time in the country and never did become a citizen/ or permanent resident tells me he’s lazy. Had his parents finalized proceedings earlier when he was a child this would have had a different outcome however immigration laws under Trump left no other option.

A mama love is everything I'm 55 years old and my mama is 77 it doesn't matter what I go through in this world having my mama here makes it easier.

Wow, I'm seeing this again makes me realize how Gia had to Grow Up FAST during that year her Mom was gone, and how Mature she is here. Just Amazing young lady, and now going to be a Lawyer. Gabriella holds her emotions inside, but we can Clearly see how her sweet heart is broken and how much pain in her face. It's was too much for this family. They are all so Strong and kind loving and amazing girls and praying God continues to Bless them

I seriously hope they put the girls in therapy when the legal issues first kicked off, especially Gia. As the eldest sibling of my family, I feel for her. Being parent #3 at a young age is draining. I couldn’t imagine being temporary parent #2 (and occasionally parent #1) over the course of a decade then tack on the paparazzi and the cyber bullying… she’s gone through A LOT.
