Hello, I am one of the staff members over at AlterWare. We are not actually affiliated with the team behind Aurora haha. If you head over to our forum I've added a post clarifying this aspect.
I seen some Aurora Staff so just assumed it was a Collaborative Project. I'm unsure if that post was up at the time of recording. Nonetheless any viewers reading this can still know they are in good hands.

can someone help me? i just downloaded IW4x and theres no menu or in game music, any fixes?
Greetings, before downloading I wish to ask something. When I move the AlterWare launcher to original Modern Warfare 2's directory and run the launcher is it going to also download IW4x files or do I have to get IW4x from somewhere?

for people who don't have cod mw2 2009, you can also do this with having the original iw4x full game when xlabs was still up
so, if i downloaded the original iw4x from xlabs i could put the files in the alterware launcher?

mine keeps saying "steam must be running to play this game" wont even open it
try their discord i never had a problem with alterware
having an issue where it won't let me run the alterware launcher at all when i try to open it

Do you have to own the game on steam for this? Or we can download it
Owning it will ensure it will work with the most recent version of AlterWare. If you have an existing folder you didn't delete you can try to update the files through there like how I chose.

Not really a hard game to run as long as you got something within the last decade it will run it.

No cause you can just use the unlockstats command
@@thatmanwavez Not really a suitable replacement. The whole point is people want to experience the old progression systems but in a singleplayer style fashion. Not click a button and unlock everything from the get go.

Yes, you can use "combat training" to level up with bots in private match or just join a Dedicated Server with bots or use the unlockstats command

I'm not sure how to fix but AlterWare has a support channel in their Discord they should have a fix for it

Try the Discord I personally got no ideas for this
the advanced warfare servers look like there is no one but I log in and there are people but they move like bots, are there real people or are they bots?
There are real people playing depending on the server you join. Make sure you are up to date and use the Server Browser I have linked below if you are looking for any specific servers.
@@thatmanwavez I have been using the [HGM] Team Deathmatch server from the mess of servers you left in the description.
@@mesias.x4323 I know HGM and other popular servers use bots to fill the lobby until real players join. Probably still not much players that returned after the whole X Labs shutdown that know IW4x, IW6x, S1x still works in 2024.
@@thatmanwavez it seems that if they are bots some in the ping have the word BOT instead of showing their real connection, it's very sad i had to wait 6 hours to download advanced warfare and i find this :/
Does someone have a link for the game files for my younger cousin? Money is quite the issue here. He will not buy a key to play with me :(
