    my man lives in Texas and is surprised his 400 plus hp black v8 Camaro runs the fans all day to maintain 180 degree engine temps....
    thats not an issue thats a awesome example of solid engineering. the solution is to get the hell outta Texas...or drive at night.

      @MuscleAddiction903  Před rokem +1

      Running the fans all day is one thing but to be working normally sitting at 180°, then at the blink of an eye Running full blast while simultaneously cutting the a/c off and the temp hand dropping to zero is another.

      I have a corolla that's not black with carbon ceramic window tint to reject the light that causes heat within my car interior and my radiator fan runs on overtime and a half 25/8 during the very hot and very humid houston weather

      Come to Montana during the winter, for seven months you won’t need a intercooler or fan, just Thicker oil and heat 😂

    Ya it’s your coolant temp sensor

    • @MuscleAddiction903
      @MuscleAddiction903  Před rokem +1

      I already bought one I just need the weather here in TX to go down just a few more degrees. Its hotter than the devils toenails 🤣

    I had the same issue. Even after replacing thermostat. Unplug to reset. Not sure it happened a few time but hasn’t did it in some time

    • @MuscleAddiction903
      @MuscleAddiction903  Před rokem +1

      Yep I usually have to pull over and unplug the negative cable for a couple seconds then it's back to normal. I bought a temperature sensor that I will be installing soon so hopefully the problem is nonexistent after that

    • @TheTruth-fb4be

      How did you reset it?

      @MuscleAddiction903  Před 3 měsíci

      Sorry for the late comment but by taking off the negative cable for a few seconds

  • @lennonpoole1237
    @lennonpoole1237 Před rokem +4

    It's supposed to do that, to cool down the engine after long drives.

    • @2v_Kevn
      @2v_Kevn Před rokem +2

      It’s not supposed to turn off the AC compressor, as you can see the coolant temp is not even high and the fans are at full power. Probably shorted somewhere or a sensor went bad

    • @rosserboi
      @rosserboi Před rokem +2

      On an engine with an optional "Race Cooldown Function" it would happen when the car is off. Not only does chevy not offer that feature on camaro ss's, it's not even an option. Even if it was Tuned in aftermarket, i highly doubt that it kills power to the a/c clutch.

    • @MuscleAddiction903
      @MuscleAddiction903  Před rokem +1

      Unfortunately camaros don't have that feature from factory.

    • @MuscleAddiction903
      @MuscleAddiction903  Před rokem +1

      @2v_Kevin it's most likely a faulty temperature sensor

  • @jamestaylor5145

    what did you do to fix the problem?

    • @MuscleAddiction903
      @MuscleAddiction903  Před 8 měsíci

      I added 2 extra grounds from the body of the car to a bolt on the block. Seems to have help keep the battery charged and drag on the starter. Went to the local part store to get ground straps.

    Your fans have nothing to do with your A/C compressor those fans are there to keep the engine cooled. If your clutch on you A/C compressor isn’t kicking on then you either need a new compressor or you need to charge the system

    • @edwardguess6210
      @edwardguess6210 Před rokem +4

      Fans actually do play a part in the cars ac system and a bad fan can cause a p0533 code so do your reasearch before you comment shit

      @@edwardguess6210only if they ain’t running & they clearly running its either the compressor or a/c recharge especially with this heat.

      @rurallegend1354 It's a very common issue with newer model GM vehicles. It's not just camaro's either.

    It's called GM cheap quality. This problem existed on Camaros 30 years ago and still today. GM doesn't correct anything, they just keep building Garbage.
