I purchased this module from Amazon and saw some bad reviews because it doesn't come with instructions on how to install. So, I thought I'd create a video to show people with an E60 how to do it.
Warning: I already coded my AUX channel in a long time ago. If you do not have AUX already coded, this will not work. Maybe have a dealer code it?
Now, finally after having this car for 6 years, I actually have Bluetooth audio and music! Hurray!

Great video!!! I have a question for you. The previous owner of my car had this module put into the car and it worked great, unfortunately my radio went bad so I got a new oem radio put into the car and plugged the module back in. My problem now is that there is no auxiliary setting anymore in the idrive system. Does it need to be recoded into the new radio and of so how would i go about doing that. Thank you great video man👍

Great video thanks. I tried it and found the white / purple wire had no power so had to connect to the thicker red/brown next to the ground brown. Very erratic connection to the Bluetooth and getting slight static pulsing possibly due to unfiltered power? Partly successful but not as good as yours.
It has the same audio quality which can be produced from the FM, right?

Every time I sit in car FM radio is enabled and I need to switch it to AUX. How can I set AUX by default?

After my diy install: no, you can't change tracks. It should've made sense to me before already, since there's just three wires for the aux signal. However, I wonder if someone can tap the track button wires from steering wheel?

It turns off when the other subsystems shut down, a little while later after you turn the car off.
How is the audio quality compared to a fm Transmitter ? Night and day difference ?
I think it's great!
I will say that the mid-range is a little lacking in the E60, compared to my previous E46.
(this has nothing to do with the Bluetooth though)
It seems you can only mess with the very high range and very low range. My E46 had the most impressive mid-range I've ever heard that didn't muddy the sound like so many do.
@@RandomExposure Same with my car, my z3 sounds amazing but my e60 stock radio has barely any mid range but it does sry crystal clear so I can’t complain

can you use normal aux after install ? or will aux mode always be bluetooth after?
In this video, I am connecting the bluetooth module to the aux hookup.
The little section on the black plastic but is the aux. So if you connect the Bluetooth to that ; you will loose the aux functionality and it will always be Bluetooth

No, it does not.
Tap connectors are terrible

Yes, you will need to code if you do not have the AUX option on your radio already.

Nice but too much doing. Rather just go the transmitter route cause people complaining about coding and power drainage.
If you can answer some of these guys questions I’d take the risk of ravaging through the wires.

@@abdulillahbaismail2499 bro i know the problem! Check fuse number 34 in the glove box fuse box. That is the fuse for the ccc/cic. Mine was blown so I replaced the fuse and everything works but please remove the aftermarket Bluetooth!
