FIRST TIME Reaction to Final Fantasy 7 Ending

- čas přidán 9. 07. 2020
- I've been playing the original FF7 for the first time, and finally beat it after a month of falling in love with the game. Our ending was... long... it was hard.. and featured far more frogs than could be expected.
I hope you enjoy my reactions to the end of the game, the boss battles, and the end cutscene! Thanks for watching :)

"Pluto? That's not a Planet anymore"
Sephiroth: Exactly
HAHAHAHAAH YOU, SIR, YOU'VE GOT ME THERE
I get The Joke, but Pluto Is still a planet.
@@trentlane6971 It's not. It's a planetoid.
@@gabrielherasterol9214 Little midget
Niiiice
Am I the only one that's ever tried to run from supernova for added effect when the characters get back on screen??? The ominous "Can't escape" fits PERFECTLY there.
OMG yes, I did this too!
Heh, I did it as well
No, I stood there and just thought, “that all you got Sephy?”
Yeah, I always do that, it's really great
No you're not, I did this as well. After I got over the initial shock of course
The 3 final note tears me up every time
I love the timing of Tifas' attack at 5:43 went with music perfectly
That was the most stressful Sephiroth fight I've seen. The satisfaction must've been amazing
Very easy if you have right equipment w summon use knights of roun and mimic materia
@@laurilahti9863you went overkill for sephiroth.😂 all you need are ribbons.😂
@@laurilahti9863 My first time fighting him I didn't know about all that. I had w item but didn't know the dupe trick and hadn't understood what mimic really did. Also didn't have knights of the round so I just fought him straight up. Took a few tries but I did beat him that way. My second play through I had a strategy guide and 100% the game. This was back when it first came out so no youtube, internet guides or forums really.

Hannah: Barret, Fuck you...
Barret: *O K*
The only time Sephiroth has been beaten with a frickin Bolt Plume 😂😂😂
Everytime I see Aeris in the last frames of the game, my heart explode in tears, like 24 years ago.
Imagine how they will remaine the ending in the remake 😳
25:00 it's all fun and games until math comes out
actually find it sad that the song One Winged Angel has such a massive impact that it completly out shines the godly jam that is Birth of a God
I love how Birth of a God contains Sephiroth's musical motif. It is indeed literally a Godly jam.

[BARRET LIMIT BREAK]
*Barret Proceeds to kill cloud then run in circles*
When I first played this game was in 2001 on my PS2, but luckily I had a friend who was very big into FF7 and he warned me to have the Phoenix summon and the auto summon materia. He didn't tell me why but I got them before this fight and it saved my ass against Supernova so much cuz you could still summon Phoenix and revive the entire party even if it killed you and it wouldn't give a Game Over.
It only just occurred to me that pale horse is a reference to the horse that death, a horsemen of the apocalypse, rides.
No shit Sherlock
@@KainsAddiction You must have lots of friends
@lartisteautravail I do actually. People who know basic fifth grade Biblical references.
@@KainsAddiction Are your friends in the room with us right now

Safer Sephiroth makes me shiver every single fucking time.
As does SuperNova.... when those equations appear on screen at the start... oh man. Brrr lol
I like how she read every single piece of text. I can relate to the boss anxiety 😂
The initial Super Nova experienced here at 25 is what almost finished my last UNSAVED playthrough. Mind you this was easily 16-17 years ago. Some 2004-2005. I knew the game well, but NOT well enough to reliably do a run min-maxing my characters and basically making the bosses a breeze. Just enough knowledge to play the game and know the bare minimum of preparations.
I survived a few Super Nova's with little effort as you usually do have enough time to heal up following the cast. It's just the panic of the first time experience when you see your full health go to like 5%. Anyway in this case I didn't get the luxury and my team of Barret, Cid and Cloud had Cloud knocked out (following an attack after Super Nova), Cid was a frog and Barrett was confused. The fight had already lasted a good while so Sephiroth was close to death apparently. Barrett had an Limit Break following Super Nova. My boy saved the entire ending for me and used it on Sephiroth and defeated him. I had already thrown the controller away because the run was shattered. Imagine my shock when it actually finished and I beat the game without saving once. The relief!
Awesome run! Good times for me 22 years ago playing hours after school. I think we bought it 1 month after US release.
I saw it on stream. Was awesome. Keep up the great content Hannah. I would love to see your reaction to the AC movies, but since you can't livestream that, perhaps you could do a video where you share your thoughts on the movie afterwards?
Also.. *I think Cloud x Aerith fans will finally have their day in the coming remake titles.* :)
Edit:
Also, Aerith saves the world, it is her who guides the lifestream in the end. You also hear a rearrangement of her music after the lifestream comes out of the ground, when Marlene is in the scene. My personal interpretation is that, since it takes her tune from ending on a low note, to ending on a high note, that it is a hint that Aerith comes back. :)
But where is the part with Red XIII running 500 years later? :O
Let it be known on a permanent record that Sephiroth was defeated by a Frog.
A frog throwing a bolt plume... Perfection lmao
Also - If you upload your blind reaction to Aerith's death scene, I'm certain you would get a lot of views for that. :)
love the stream.. i hope you will play another Final Fantasy games in the future :D
I like how Supernova destroys several planets in the milky way killing billions but does 3k damage to your party 😂
Well, either supernova ran out of steam by the it hits the party, or the party is strong enough to take a solar system level attack to the face and survive
you deserve my subscribe for def sephiroth with a frog
Frogged and a Bolt Plume for 200 dmg for the kill!?! 1/1000000, so awesome. This reminds me so much of my first playthrough at 14, sharing the stress this bastard caused you has quelled my past demons. Sooooo... Ruby Weapon next??
That was a funny reaction she had when Safer Sephi just slowly descended onto the screen lmaoooo
Wait - there's a cutscene at the very end after credits! Did you see that?
Haaaahahahahaha!!! That WHAAT!!! at 27:00 after getting a taste of the first super nova and immediately feeling the despair shortly after was priceless.
If that was me, I would have tapped out after the 2nd Supernova 😅😅😅
Thank you algorithm for directing me here
Ribbon is very good for thin immune all curses an berserk and championship belt put all materia and cure or what you want you dont need use spells separatly
6:40 Timing
Since I can't help myself from grinding in FF games with materia and ribbons etc I barely saw any of the boss special moves cause they die in 1 hit.
Can't imagine how frustrating it would be when you keep dying to 1 hit from the boss
I might have an Aerith twist on the ending that you would like... it started a long time ago, when I first started thinking about the incongruity of Marlene saying "The flower girl?" -- only to see Meteor just hanging there waiting for Holy to arrive. :-/
1:47:48 - Holy bursts out like a plume, Highwind bobbles around on top... then falls as Holy takes off from under it, streaking toward Midgar. When the emergency drive kicks in they see Holy flying away at incredible speed, and rise up to follow it.
1:48:40 - Marlene opens the window, and shyly waves to a translucent Aerith sitting atop the church. Aerith smiles, and waves back.
1:48:50 - As the music grows dark, Aerith looks to the sky in alarm and Marlene follows her gaze to see a red light growing in size. Marlene looks back to see Aerith on her feet in battle stance.
1:49:00 - As the music grows ominous, Marlene notices a faint white light on the horizon. It's growing, but as she looks back she sees the red light is already almost half the size of the moon.
1:49:10 - Aerith is still standing alone, her staff held as if to block a blow from the red light. Holy's light is growing, but painfully slowly.
1:49:20 - Marlene looks concerned. Aerith hasn't faltered, but Meteor is now filling a quarter of the sky and still advancing.
1:49:30 - Holy makes it just in time, flooding into Aerith's staff. A shield of light springs out and grows quickly, covering most of Midgar.
1:49:40 - Marlene looks up and instinctively shields herself with her arms. Meteor comes into focus, miles above but falling at incredible speed.
1:49:42 - As the music strikes a dramatic chord, we get a closeup of Aerith. Meteor smashes into Holy's growing shield, nearly flattening it like a soap bubble. She staggers, but somehow holds up a rocky face so large it appears flat at that perspective.
1:49:45 - As in the original, Marlene covers her eyes and looks away. The music turns to notes of horror, and we look back to see Aerith's face under intense strain, almost crying with the effort of holding back Meteor. Perspective shots as in the original.
1:49:55: Instead of Meteor quickly piercing Holy, red lightning flickers across Holy's surface and Holy's light dims. Cracks appear and rapidly spread, with red light starting to shine through at points.
1:50:05: Twisters begin to break through, damaging Shinra's power station.
1:50:10: Cut to Highwind arriving, conversation slightly abbreviated from the original. They can't see who's underneath Meteor.
1:50:55: Aerith is crying in pain; huge twisters swirl through the cracks. Her body is trembling; she's hopelessly overmatched.
1:51:05: Marlene looks on, stunned, then covers her eyes in horror.
1:51:10: It's a miracle Aerith has lasted this long, and time is up. Just as the dramatic chord strikes, her arms give way several inches.
1:51:12: A single green streamer twirls up around her arm, and her arms abruptly stop falling. As a second and a third twirl around her, her arms grow steady. As several more twirl upward, her arms slowly begin to rise again.
1:51:15: Mostly the same as original.
1:52:01: Marlene moves one finger, peeking through... then drops her hands from her eyes. Her relief for Aerith is tangible.
1:52:05: Aerith stands straight, holding the shield with no effort. She looks in wonder at the flood of green streamers around her.
1:52:18: Shinra Power has been demolished, but technicians are beginning to peek out from the wreckage.
1:52:23: Mostly the same as original.
1:53:00 As the music reaches a crescendo Aerith lowers her hands, then wave to Marlene one last time as the light becomes blinding. When Marlene can see again, Aerith and Meteor are gone. A single streamer twirls around Marlene, then returns into the planet.
21:48 one winged angel begins
We all did the dance at 21:24 the first time back in 1997
Amazing, you make me remember the first time I beat the game. Please, you need to see Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete to see what you can consider as the real ending.
Frog+ Bolt Plume=save the world!
where is battle versus Emerald and Ruby weapon?
How many Supernovas do you need?
*Yes*
I was today years old after realizing Bizarro Sephiroth can use Heartless Angel
I'd never seen it before in 7 itself so after I saw a play thorough and it happened I was like omg that's from Crisis core 😂
The supernova summon was funny lol SE always go extravagant and totally bonkers with summon animations but this one was way over the top
Wait she played this before or after playing the remake?
i played this after the remake :D
beautiful
You really took off your headset in the best part of the ending just to phone in a reaction lmao
I love seeing people playing this game completely blind and defeating Bizzaro Sephiroth being all excited thinking they’ve beaten the game then
DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN
and then they realise the real final boss is here
I know Vincent and Yuffie are cannon to the story but I'm mad that there optional characters in the original and they're not in the CGI scenes.
It’s because she stole all our materia
Awesome bro, I love FF
55:58
That was a good battle. It will be brutal if supernova on the remake could actually kill you if you have less than 75% of your health.
6:03 I was so disappointed I didn’t get to see ultima 😂
That's the funniest Sephiroth fight I ever seen
...... 1:40:30 no freaking way....
You could have placed the save crystal at the bottom of the Northern cave, that's what I did in my playthrough.
Will you be uploading your ff7 (original) playthrough? Liked and subscribed
Yup!! I will be😊
@@louiseyhannah awesome! I've missed your ff7 playthrough on twitch. So glad you will. Thanks for the upload
If Sephiroth gets to pull off 7 Supernovas against a player then that means they are doing something really wrong.😁
Bit late since you're at the end of the game but customize your inventory lol XD place everything that you wanna use at the top
My first time react safer Sephiroth get blast and fall off by that dragon 😂 57:04
26:40 this made me laugh so hard 🤣 was very unfortunate
Oh my gosh most epic win against safer sephiroth I've seen. Frog wins.
On the real game on Ps1 you have a last scene at the end ;)
Multi super nova must be destroying the multi verse
ribbons 🚫🐸
Knights of the Round will TAKE SEPHIROTH OUT
The "sub gifting" things that take over 50% of the screen and sound are over the top.
This is weird why is your ending reaction so much older than your playthrough? Which is still ungoing? Should i watch this first or come back to this episode after you finish?
This episode is on the current playthrough (split into 2 parts I believe)... I still can't figure out why it was uploaded twice.
you stuck around for the end credits but cut off the last scene? TRIGGERED
Your name is funny and genius
I still don't get why it destroys planets in our solar system.
It’s our world.
Why didn't you watch the end credits scene.
The ending to FF7 is actually a bad ending. Bad in terms of outcome. Yes Holy and the Lifestream stop Meteor, but that's the only good thing. If you watch until after the credits there's an additional scene showing Red XIII running with his two cubs to overlook a ruined, overgrown Midgar. That post-credit scene takes place 500 years in the future, in a world completely devoid of humans. The creators themselves even mentioned this in an interview one time. And Holy wasn't a materia created to just counter Meteor, it was a materia designed by the Ancients to protect the planet from anything it deemed a threat, and given as how the planet was almost rendered extinct thanks to human meddling, Holy deemed humanity a threat, and over the course of a short 500 years, every last human on the planet will have died out. And the final scene with Red and his cubs is the opening scene in the movie Advent Children.
Me like your voice
Chat is so useless. 😂 she asking for help and no one told her mega elixir.

So bad.
