AC Mirage | Round City free roam, parkour w/ ejects, stealth, tools, assassin focus and more

  • Just a pretty nice little 7 and a half minutes of parkour improvising and other activities. I think this is a nice showcase of all the new things the game has to offer and is a realistic showcase of how the game plays (if you play it right)
    So far I'm really enjoying the game, it's a lot of fun. But parkour is my favorite part of assassins creed, and we all know this isn't ac parkours best look.
    Sometimes it feels really great. It's smooth and fast and precise and basim goes where you want him to and you can even pull of something resembling the technical parkour of the old games.
    And sometimes it really sucks. It can be very inconsistent, slow, sticky, and extremely cumbersome.
    Usually it's somewhere in between. You can get where you want to go, and it looks pretty good, but a bit awkward. That's kind of the sweet spot I guess.
    Stealth is awesome. Feels great. The city is awesome. Characters are good enough (I'm not here for the story)
    I like the game so far. I've been around since the beginning of assassins creed, it's been my favorite series since I was in middle school, so I am willing to look past a lot. It's a fun time.

    People out here posting these vids makes me want to start uploading some stuff of my own, I gotta play around a bit and I haven’t modified my controls yet, still waiting to find out how important it is to be sprinting in terms of what animations trigger based on whether you are in sprint or not.

      Do it! Thanks to youtubers like jcers and the dude jqn I started to post my own parkour clips and it's very fun and nice to see the different paths that each player take 😁

    Compared to other AC games, how high do you rank this game in terms of stealth?

      I haven't played quite enough to really rank it yet. But I like it. It feels really solid.

    So do you think the parkour is actually really smooth once you know what your doing because it looks like it?

      If you consider this gameplay really smooth then yes. There's no tricks or special effects in this clip.

      There’s a move where he does if you swing off a pole he can front flip into the haystack

      The entire system is context based with next to no control but it’s still better than Valhalla

      @potsiboi look sensitivity is default. I don't really feel like I've fully adapted I'm kinda just trying to make it work

      @@potsiboi You should change Sprint to R2/RT HOLD and Inventory/Gadgets to Down DPAD HOLD. It feels like OG AC games and you have way more control.

    Do you still have to push a button to sprint? I really did not care for that.

      Yeah. I remapped some buttons so mine feels close to the original games which I like.

      yeah would recommend that for everyone. Most importantly put sprint in a trigger to hold, so you have haptic feedback, as visual feedback while parkouring is a bit dodgy at times.

      @Luger0312 yeah this is exactly what I did. Can't tell at a glance whether or not the sprint toggle is on or not because he takes a second to actually accelerate anyway, plus he can't sprint in all situations so holding it ensures that if sprinting is avaliable, he will sprint.

      Not the ones from ac1-rev no but they have the side hop from Unity on and the weaker back eject yea
