I feel like everyone was ready to write a full paragraph about mishandling chinchillas by combining before selling , in order to get way more money in the early rounds and still level up… yet we all shut up when he got the full value of all 3 spawns from a level 3 and yet another level up in a later round when it was critical to get tier 5s.
He’s proved himself. From now on, it’s “Yes Sir, Mr. NL. Incredible decisions.” 🤣
Honestly that run just destroyed my dopamine centers for the rest of 2023 😂

@@Nightknight1992 it just requires puppy to have higher attack stat to work, so it goes off before the gold is consumed? Or no? I was trying to sort it out myself.

Now I've never even played SAP, but I do my best to pay attention to what all the pets do and I regularly read the comments and see people constantly slamming NL for his misplays, so I have a non-zero understanding of the game - just enough game knowledge to get how unbelievably beautiful the Doberman pivot was. All the pieces fell into place - great plays and some pretty exceptional shops made me pog so hard I nearly fell out of my chair.
I love his continual rediscovery of how good high-tier units are.

I was so thrilled and excited when he said he was gonna try magpie + puppy because I knew the disappointment it would bring him. Im a horrible person
It's actually really nice if you get puppy to activate first
The doberman carried those few 3 squad games, but the real value was forcing an actual pivot and not just upgrading the scaler from an otter to a bird of paradise or throwing a bear onto a flying fish team like normal.
Case in point: the very next game where he doesn't want to sell his 14/14 meat fish for a 6/4 reindeer that is essentially a 6/24, while discussing how the fish would have to be at the front thus the reindeer would absorb buffs there anyway.
Puppy vs magpie: 'Yeah you do that anyway' in regards to not spending all your gold. But you really need to make sure the puppy procs first, otherwise the magpie takes the gold required for the puppy to proc.

I'm not sure you could ask for a better 3-squad to hit on turn 7. Normally Doberman-Monkey is a dream hit, but it leaves you with a pretty dead turn 8. But then he also got the seal to actually make use of his gold on the 8 gap

If you've played this weekly you'd know the Doberman is the GOAT unit. All early tier units are trash so its really easy to pivot. And scaling is king which the later tier has a lot of

I think it's okay since you really have to commit for it to work. Unless you have really good early scaling to get it's stats up before you have all tier 5 and 6s
@@ScorpionXXXVII I really think the off rip +5/+5 makes a hard pivot worth it. Especially because t5 and t6 units are obviously just strong. If you can get seal/cow/snake you're laughing all the way to the bank. That being said, you can't ALWAYS take it, no. Which is why I said almost broken.

NL I think you are playing chinchillas wrong, you should sell them and combine de brown chinchilla. That way if for example yo make it level 2 you would get 4 gold if you have sold them (3grey chinchillas and the brown one). If you combine the grey ones you would in total get only 2 gold. Hope this helps!

Puppy or not, the Magpie never makes additional gold. You always spend the same amount
Puppy + level 2 magpie means you start the round with 12 and spend down to 2 (10 gold spent)
Puppy no magpie means you start the round with 10 and spend down to 2 (8 gold spent)
Level 2 magpie enables you to spend 2 extra gold per turn (equivalent of a level 2 swan)
