    My boxing coach always said,
Be aware and always protect yourself.

Excellent instruction! We have many of those strikes as well in Tae Kwon Do, although most would never see them given the promotion of the sports side of the art. There is also a very hard bone just below the fleshy part of the palm that can be used in knife hand strikes. Thanks you :)

Have to say the Boshi/Ken is my favourite stick for pressure points, don’t think it’s shown enough. Sticks to ribs upper chest an sternomastoid are great for making any attacker think two. 🇬🇧🙏🏻

4:53 In Wing Chun we call that GANG KUEN and it’s truly a LEOPARD PAW from SHAOLIN. Gingerfist is another common name for that one. I realize your version is the JAPANESE version no doubt. That’s why the name is different.

Great video! This brings a new depth to the defenses that we practice each day in your Dojo. I’m sure many of the darker belts already understand these nuances, but this is gold to me.

My style of martial art is Ten Shin Aikido, it's a much harder style of Aikido than traditional, I find your videos full of knowledge thanks for making the video👊

I have been studying sound/kiai for over 10 years now. I’ve noticed the strength in your kiai since I’ve become a subscriber. I’d like to learn new things. I believe that kiai originally came from the ninja and probably India before that. Can you please do a video on kiai? Thank you! 🙏
