I personally prefer concealing under the foundation to not chance it being a different color.
Obviously Melissa is amazing and can match her concealer to her foundation, I've tried and I can't seem to get it just right, I wish I could though
The maskne is REAL and as a nurse I am HATING it. Totally stopped wearing makeup and I am still getting those underground bumps 😭😭😭
Can you do the tutorial on your eyes next time.I love that yellow color pops on you..🥰😘
Thank you so much for this video Melissa! I had a terrible breakout last week and I just have such a hard time applying makeup in a way that doesn't make the acne look cakey but also covers so I feel confident when I leave the house. Much love ❤️
Love how your hair looks like that! 👍🏽
Thank you!
I pulled up this video again today, because I used the techniques two years ago and it worked so well! I'm having a random bout of terrible acne, and I had an event today where I wanted to feel less self-conscious about my current appearance. Worked like a charm! Thanks again!
I love that you explain everything :D
yes need a tutorial on the eye look!
Love and appreciate your content so much! I've learned so much from your channel.
🥺🥺🥺🥺 makes me so happy
Always nailing the tips and tricks for makeup! I enjoy and love your content, so yes do a Smokey eye video pls.
This means so much thank you ☺️☺️☺️
Beautiful and so helpful. Love your videos Melissa!
tip for avoiding mascne: don't leave your house lol
never left it before, so this is not an issue for me 😂
Thank you so much for this Melissa! I suffer from textured acne so these techniques will really help in the long run 🙌🏽
Hope it helped! And you are so welcome!
the lipstick packaging matches your eye look I LAV IT
This eye look is great!!
Thank you for this!!! I had made it all of quarantine/mask wearing until a couple weeks ago and then bam💥 Bumps everywhere😩
Can’t wait to try all of your tips and tricks
Same! I think at the beginning I was hardly wearing makeup underneath the mask b it as of lately I’ve found myself wearing a full face and masks which is just asking for breakouts!
I use pimple patches to keep me from picking them! It’s helped sooooo much since I started doing that!
I want to get one but the zitsticka is always sold out
LoL your profile pic.... .. 2020 is almost over (yay)
@@setarehsh3749 hahahaha! Ya! I changed it to that on New Year’s Eve.....definitely need to change it because my bitmoji would really be more like...”when’s 2020 gonna end?”
Haven’t tried them but gots to! Also your profile pic does make me lol haha
@@MelissaAlatorre hahaha! I’m glad I gave you both good laughs! 😆 We need anything that makes us laugh in the world today!!!
Just clicked, already liked 💪 Love you 💛
I'd love a tutorial on the eye look! So nice! Also, love that you used a Latina owned pallette :)
When I’m breaking out I love you to use Estée Lauder double wear all over the face and then just concealer where I need it under the eyes... the foundation doesn’t need to be set with powder so feels super light weight ☺️ x
Requesting a skin care video for maskne pls. I am in need of some kind of routine for these small rough bumps and acne scars. 🤍
Paula’s choice products are my go to for blemish-prone skin. They do say that heavy creams and lotions can clog oily skin more and be a reason for breakouts. But they offer so many wonderful lightweight moisturizers that have become holy grails for me.
Please, a cruelty free option for the nars foundation and concealer???? Thank you 💕
I used to have such clear, good skin and then after this hit my pimples some I have never had before started popping up... I had a decade full of good, clear skin!! I looked like I wore foundation but I didn't have an ounce of makeup on 🙄
I’ve worked in the dental field for years so have dealt with mascne for a long time. Best tips are wear less makeup under a mask obviously and exfoliate regularly. I personally only wear my skincare under my mask when at work.
Mascne got me too !!! Amazing video thanks for sharing!!!
You look gorg! I would never have noticed you were having skin issues from the after! Also your teeth are so beautiful, are you done with your invisalign?
I am done and have a video with them coming up this week!
I wanna see a tutorial on that eyelook 🤗
Thank uuuuu for this srsly have been breaking out in all
Those same areas 😣
the problem with using cream concealer on face blemishes is that on top of foundation it runs the risk of looking a little too heavy, a little too cakey, so have to be careful with that. honestly I just got in the habit of only covering up LARGE blemishes and zits otherwise it takes too long to finesse everything [unless I'm going somewhere important]
Definetly struggling with maskne rn 😩 I have never broken out this bad ever until now.
What shade is the foundation you used?
I want to see this eye tutorial please 😍❤️
If masks are indeed the cause of acne then washing or replacing it daily would be ideal as well as spray the inside of the mask with alchohol /astringent can help 🙏
I definitely wash my masks a ton!
What shade are you on make up forever ??
being someone who struggled with very serious acne for yeeeears and years, don't put the concealer stick directly on your skin, this way you're putting bacteria and all the nasties onto the stick and spreading it to new places. Put some amount on the back of your hand (cleaned and after using hand sanitizer) and then use a brush/your fingertip to apply to the spots. :)
oh and have you tried using azelaic acid in your skincare? work great without being photo sensitizing, it's both to prevent new breakouts and to fade the erythema/hyperpigmentation.
You watch Hyram dont you??!! Lol. Good advice tho.. I love azelaic acid
My acne came before all this but is actually going away now
the problem is even with powders and good matte primers the makeup will still rub off on the mask unless you layer a lot of setting spray [which I just ran out of] so any concealing that gets done on big acne , under the mask areas ,gets removed pretty easily unless you use really fast drying products on the blemishes. am I making sense?
You gotta get the slip silk mask! It’s the only one that doesn’t completely take off all my makeup!
@@MelissaAlatorre thanks!
Love uuuuuu
Ayyyyy!!!! Beautiful!!! My inner corner of my eyes are slightly wrinkly. So I do not want to wear makeup. What is a good eye cream for inner top eye. I'm broke, you make me want to go buy some makeup, but where??? Maybe soon!! Beautiful mija...I'm 35 and I'm losing it. Lol .
@A 😘😘😘😘...thank you so much for letting me know. I really appreciate it. 💓 I will order some right now from Sephora. Thank you for taking the time to write me back. I just the dermaflash to see if it will help with my dry skin. I hoping I order the right one. Or I could be possibly saying the wrong one. Well thank you and I hope you have a beautiful day💋💓💞🥰
How do you do it, staying in shape and eating healthy? I mean I have kids husband, I am overweight, who truly helps you to get moving. I've been working out since March and I see no progress. So it gets discouraging, but I must be missing something. I would love to see if you can share some tips in that Dept. That way I can follow what you recommend or help you. If you can. Even if it's a certain water bottle or certain food you have to eat a certain time of day. That way I can get ideas or see what's helps me. Of course I'm mexican so the food is hard to let go of, but I've been making it in healthier version but you know what ever can spare. I would to get in shape and feel good about my self. You know. Well thank you for everything and I truly love love your videos.
I got rid of the worst of my acne (cysts/white heads) by cutting out CHOCOLATE from my diet! 😭💔 Chocolate.. my favorite. But yes! It worked! One of my girl friends told me it worked for her so I tried it out.. I couldn't believe it. Obviously everyone is different but why not give it a shot 🤷🏽♀️
Melissa tell me you advised the model with the dry acne skin!!! I feel for her
I did! This was ages ago FYI and I still remember I felt so bad!
@@MelissaAlatorre yes I know this is not the first time you mentioned, you say a long time ago, I can't remember the video when you say before... Thank you for answer me 😊 I learn a lot from you 💛
My tip for maskne is to only do makeup from the mid cheek to forehead since everything else is covered anyway and wear pimple patches over active breakouts all day bc its under the mask and no one can see it anyway haha
Can we get a tutorial on this look 💛💛💛 what foundation shade did you use?
Please reply I would like to know to...
I have hormonal acne prone skin which didn’t start until my mid twenties (I’m 40 now) and I wear absolutely no product underneath my mask. No makeup, no sunscreen, no moisturizer, nothing! Or else I’ll breakout. I use extremely gentle fragrance-free face wash so it doesn’t dry out my skin and cause further breakouts. Also, I only wear cotton masks and I wash after every use with fragrance-free, dye-free detergent. I don’t use chemical sunscreen and no product with fragrance I don’t care how good they are. Also? I rarely leave my house so I don’t have to wear the stupid mask in the first place 😂
Why you don’t show us how do your eyes it’s so beautiful!😪
💚💙
Maskne AND hormonal acne 😭😭😭 SEND HELP!
I don't think their is a single concealer out there that matches my undertone.
Definitely gotta mix! I’ve never had a single shade truly match me, that’s why I love Laura
Mercier
It's better not to wear make up under the mask 🤷🏻♀️
Your skin is still healthy and glowy even with your breakouts! Hydration station 👌🏼
Definitely still hydrated which makes the post acne scanning and peeling a little more bearable
