The pastor is very wise man, while all the others are asking very general questions that only hit the surface he asks questions that he can really get a lot out of, like if they have kids, how long they have been together, if they have something that might keep them away from there partners at night (work/kids).

Itâs interesting because as a person with sexual trauma it can get pretty difficult to be intimate with my partner, even to the point where we have to wait a month or two if Iâm having a hard time. But Iâve also never had a relationship where Iâve felt this accepted and loved, and weâre so happy together! The lack of sexual intimacy can be difficult, but we make time for no sexual touching that helps satisfy our needs for physical love. Itâs not the most ideal situation, but just because youâre not having sex every single day or even once a week doesnât necessarily mean youâre in an unhealthy relationship! Health is about respecting boundaries, wishes / desires, and coming to a middle ground where everyone feels content with the couple . Good for all of these couples anyways for feeling good in their sexual lives, and even being able to acknowledge if they would like less/ more.

Absolutely! The idea that you have to be having sex frequently to have a healthy relationship is just wrong. (And as you point out, there's lots of physical intimacy that's not sexual.) And even without trauma, there are people that just have lower sex drives and if both people in the couple feel good about their sex life that's all that matters.
exactly! im on the asexual scale and have a bit of trauma and a condition that makes sex painful most of the time so my partner and i dont do it much, but we still show love and intimacy in other ways. i really appreciated how the pastor said that the importance of sex differs from couple to couple. sex is not the end all, be all that most people think it is
@@lexi9711 yeah I feel the same way, my levels of sexual activity are quite low due to problems with my hormones and past trauma, but my boyfriend is the opposite, which makes it difficult because he wants more and I cannot give more than once a week or less some times... I feel guilty that I cannot give more as he keeps saying that sex is about love, kind of implying that I don't love him...

As an asexual person, all but the couple on the left sound so frequent!! My partner and I are currently long distance, but when we werenât, our frequency was probably once a month, since itâs just not something I really need in a relationship. I feel the same amount of connection doing that as i do watching a movie together or having dinner together. But just because we arenât having sex doesnât mean we arenât intimate! Every couple is different; I really liked this video and Iâd love to see another with even more of a range (although idk if you could get more frequent than that last couple, thatâs truly impressive lol)
whatâs funny is that Iâm not asexual and have always considered myself to be very sexual but I was surprised how people doing once or twice a week were acting like that was so infrequent and they were lacking. no really though. once a week is completely normal and is not indicative of lack of chemistry or passion. as someone with a lower sex drive due to mental health issues and medication i thought i was broken for a while because i couldnât understand why everyone around me was talking about having sex every day when it hardly crossed my mind. was i not attracted to my partner? was i asexual? was the spark gone? (no to all of the above!) if your sex drive is high thatâs completely okay but i feel like media has perpetuated this idea of hypersexuality being the standard and i think a lot of us who donât relate to that end up feeling like thereâs something wrong with us for not being horny 24/7.

I wish there were some couples shown with differing libido's. Me and my partner are very different in that regard and it was great in the honey moon phase but it got very tricky after a while because the amount of times went down drastically and neither of us really knew why. But now we're past that, and while sometimes it's difficult, we're generally really happy where we're at đ
This makes me so happy to hear! I have a similar experience with my partner and it is further compounded by my sexual assault trauma and my partnerâs sex anxiety. Weâre both anxious beans and Iâm his first partner period, let alone sexual partner, let alone kiss. Sometimes the idea of sex can feel heavy, and while we fucked like rabbits in the beginning, their was a point where we began to appreciate other kinds of love and intimacy in a way that put sex on the back burner for when we are ready, floored, and horny as hell. Point being, itâs so wonderful to find that groove and to understand one another, your comforts, your libidos, and other ways of finding intimacy if sex doesnât float your boat at the moment or feel comfortable.
