Very cool video. I enjoyed hearing that truck operate. Thanks for taking us on the ride. I am in talks now with a guy selling a '47 KB1. Lighter version than yours, but this one has the 4 speed which was an option back then I'm told. Same inline 6 engine, largely stock like yours (which is what interests me). Safe driving! I hope to "join" you some day here soon.

Many years ago I had a 1947 KB-1. It had a non-synchro three on the tree. I learned to double clutch in that truck. I got pretty good at it. It was a retired Idaho Bell telephone truck. It had the same engine in it that your truck has. Watching you drive it brings back good memories.

I used to have a red long bed version (Knox all steel bed) with a three speed plus granny gear (compound low) on the floor. I also got pretty good at double clutching which made it lots of fun to drive, especially down-shifting to let engine compression slow you down and save wear on the brakes.

Awesome video! I want one too. They are fairly easy to work on compared to modern trucks.

A refreshing ride in the forest at almost 40 miles per hour. Next time out I'll buy the gas and the wife will bring a picnic basket.
