Useful info. What annoys me is that some fineliner pens don't work well if used at an angle, an therefore only work best in a vertical way, which often feels awkward, if you understand me. I have tried different makes and some work better (or worse) for me. However, I understand that the cheaper or mid range price makes me less worried about using them ften especially for Practice Drawings. Thanks 😊

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, different brands have different characteristics which are hard to take advantage of if we change too often. 😀

Actually, I typed out a few sentences of this, and then thought I might as well put it in a short video, as I think it's such an important point. Thanks for the idea

Excellent advice - well explained. It's interesting that we (your audience) are interested in what pens you recommend but tend not to think about the paper. I must admit I'm resistant to using my best quality materials but happily scribble away in sketchbooks that were inexpensive. Thanks again.

Thank you! In my case, I'd say that I am looking to avoid getting a set that isn't good (and maybe it affects the drawing experience?). Or maybe avoiding overpaying for a name. Having to purchase a proper set later is a bit discouraging to me if I have to suffer through shoddy tips or somesuch. I feel the same way about paper (both for drawing and for printing). fyi - I finally did a pen and ink drawing of the parrot. It just takes an animal or a flower. :)

My favorite pen is the rOtring isograph .1mm! It's ultra fine while not sacrificing durability and ink flow like the copic 003s. Though this is only really an issue with the 003s and 005s

I'm sorry, but that was my whole point. The basic issues are not conveyed by watching a line up of various brand ink lines being drawn, they are less obvious than that. They are more conceptual. But I do have about 700 videos where I do demonstrate my points while I draw. But it's not a format that works best for every topic's content.

Best tool's aren't the point, but comfortable is the point, best tool's or best brand isn't always the best
Even the cheapest tool is more comfortable, buy things wisely and the best price for your budget (i am sorry if you can't understand what i am saying cause i am not good enough at English)
