- The choice we all were waiting for is finally here. My first choice of tire is here for mock up and I think I’m happy with it. Take a look and let me explain why I choose this tire. Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are.

🚘 The Mercury Comet we cover on this channel is the same as a Ford Maverick.
📆 The years 1970 - 1977 will all be based on same information for the most part.
🧰 The DIY videos and How To videos would help you with these years but also relate and cross over to many other hotrod projects or restoration builds.
📩 Let us know if you have any questions or need help building your race car, drag car or hotrod.
🎨 We also cover a lot of painting videos along with body work and the salvage title industry when buying, selling, or owning salvage rebuilt total loss vehicles.

Moonshine running rig is what I'm seeing
You’re closer than anyone so far!
Im truly not seeing you vision with those tires yet but I’m very interested in seeing where you you end up. I think your just doing this to stump us on what your doing. Keep up the good work. Now I’m hooked lol.
Thanks a ton for sticking around. I can’t wait till it starts taking shape later down the road. I can see it in my head but no way for me to show yall bc I can’t draw.
Nice build!! Think about sectioning the front fenders. Split it horizontally at the trim add 2" to bring the top of the fender up. Then pancake the hood to go back to the original top of hood elevation. Would need to study it for a while. So far you have really done clean and efficient metal mods.
🤫 🤐 don’t spoil it for everyone 😉 we ain’t to the front yet but I think you’ve been spying on mine and mikes conversations 😆
Great choice of tire
Thanks
What are you thinking? This is not a big foot vehicle I like the gangster low rider look much better
Ride height isn’t changing. Still slammed on the ground
@@ThePaintPaperHustle but the mud tires don’t compliment the build
@2011Ronc you can’t see the build in full being I can’t draw it or create an image of it. I can only see my vision in my head and follow my gut as I’ve done for years now with each vehicle I do.
How loud are those tires ?
@keithgriffith6002 not sure on these. I’m sure not as loud as I want. One thing I wanted a swamper or Nitto Mud Grappler for was the loud noise when driving. Unfortunately I can’t get these in as low profile as I need.
Compound turbos on 4BT
Forsure!
Not feeling it, when you going racing with the Comet?
That’s fine it is hard to feel in this stage with out being able to see it. And zero plans for the comet.
Cool 😎 ! “ Beast Mode “ !!
Something mode lol
Those cuts in the tread are called sipes they help with wet weather traction. Almost all tires have those they aren't silly😂
Was just talking about looks. If you look at a lot of name brand mud tires the lugs are solid. That’s all I was referring to.
As long as you don't paint the barbed wire on the car.
lol I won’t be
Sorry if you already mensioned it,. Are you going to use a more modern chassi on the build?
We are completely building a custom tube chassis
@@ThePaintPaperHustle great stuff going to put you on the map.🇿🇦
@eddiedebeer1709 🤞🏻
Do it
💪🏻
That diesel smoke is sticky and nasty but I love the content of your videos and I will be watching to see what you come up with thanks
Thanks buddy
I will say I'm a little confused with the tire choice but I trust your vision.
lol thanks man
Man idk.... it's yours do what you do...
Thanks
I just cant watch this project i dont see your thoughts on this one why not just put a front diff in and go 4wd i dont know just me im lost been down with outer projects but im just lost on this one sorry
No worries. And bc we aren’t building an off road vehicle. We are building a hot rod where there is no rules or boxes you have to stay inside of
You definitely did your research and homework on the tire choice. Will a tire of this size have difficulty with the turning radius? Im sure you have looked into that as well lol
Remember when driving / turning vehicle is lifted up. Current height is parked height not driving height also wheel arches maybe changed on front
@ThePaintPaperHustle I knew i was missing something lol
Gona look like a truck tire cause thats wat it is, kinda defeats the purpose of wat ur doing here, chopped, lowerd, shortnd, will look fine till u turn the wheel and see them big ass all terrain knobbys, just seems like it takes up more space in wheel well rather than a drag radial wuld,, l built few Hot Rods and gota say dont see the look ur after here
The look I’m after is what no one else has done. I need to do what people think can’t be done bc it won’t look right. I’m chasing a vision that’s in my head. If I’m wrong it’ll be a simple wheel change
You got me wondering now, just seems to be a backwards theory of a alterain truck tire taking up less room than a nontreaded drag radial or even a standard tire of sum sort,, alota times people do have to sacrifice wheels n tires to achieve that nice ride but gota say u got me sratchen my head on this decision, LuV the alterations so far n the car is totally gangster,, tire selection ,🤔🤔
So I’m going for a look over anything. Would like a decent ride but it doesn’t come before the look. And I don’t want a race car look at all
Noooooooooooooooooooo
🤷🏻♂️
