I painted my 85 Mustang dove gray with some single stage in my garage. It's held up great over the last 5 years. I got into the trade painting city work trucks and school busses with Centari back in the day. I'll never forget that smell.

You ever use the Alk-201 hardener? Thoughts? Does it dry glossy?

I use a “wet look” hardener. That’s just what my supplier gives me for gloss. Not sure about the 201 idk if I’ve ever used that

Curious on the difference between a HF purple gun or their “Professional Black gun vs. a $1K gun and also would the better gun make a big difference in the quality of a job just this one?

People have reviewed all them guns. A gun does affect the paint when you’re painting at a certain level. When at this level the HF gun out preforms my $800 gun

Did you clean the HF gun or do you consider them one time use?

I am curious to know how do i fix a bumper that has those cracks in the plastic? Im having those same issues on my car and i can’t find any information on how to fix it… will a high build primer fill the cracks in or no?

Spider cracks in the paint? Only way to 100% get rid of them is replace the bumper. Next best way is sand all the way down and start over in that area with a high build primer.

Thank you for that information. I took your advice from another video and hand sanded the bumper with 320. It took me about 45 minutes to do so but it came out smooth 👌🏾
