Dr. Smith was freaking awesome a character by Jonathan H. I lost my father when I was young and He, the Robot and Will became something like my dad and friends.. LOVE Lost In Space Have them on tapes for my kids. Dina
Jonathan Harris was a true "one of a kind" actor! I had the great pleasure of meeting Mister Harris at a convention in Atlanta, GA back in 1987. He and I discussed his early carreer over a glass of wine in the con suite. He was a very distinguished and gracious gentleman. I'm sorry he's gone.
First let me say...you are a master!!!..I love Dr Smith. saw him at the sci fi convention in New Jersey. I got a photo of him with me. was very depressed for weeks when he died. He was the whole show and will too.Star Wars copied the relationship of Dr smith and the Robot with R2D2 and C3P0. Lost in Space was and still is the best. You did a first class job with video. God Bless the Dr Smith fans. Anthony
Brilliant - a tribute to Jonathon Harris' acting ability - "creature" said with so many nuances and tones. Thanks for posting this well edited montage.
I loved watching L.I.S. when I was growing up in the 1960's. About Dr. Smith, the character you loved to hate, they save him time and time again when they know he tried to sabotage the flight and kill them all (before he got trapped on the ship). He always wanted to get back to Earth, but didn't he realize after the other crew members told about what he did, he would have been arrested for treason! LOL
I grew up thinking Harris was a British actor with that Shakespearean voice, but I just looked him up in Wikipedia and discovered after 45 or more years, he was American. Wow! Much as I hated the campiness of the Dr. Smith character when I was a kid (I took my science fiction seriously) I now realize what a great actor Harris was. Now i want to relive all those shows.
Jonathan Harris seemed like a classy guy. The did him a disservice by making him swishy after he played a heavy in the early Lost in Space episodes. He evidently took the unflattering role seriously so it is a tribute to his professionalism as an actor. R.I.P.
i hope and pray smith is in heaven because if hes not he will be stuck with all those horrible creatures lurking about!!! one of the best sci fi actors ever!!
Forgot this couplet from "Deadliest of the Species:" Maureen: If John can re-wire that grid, we'll be able to defeat that creature! Smith: "Creature" is right!
Forgive him?! You should know that as of this writing I am in the process of arranging to have myself surgically altered to look perfectly and exactly like Dr. Zachary Smith (circa 1966, of course) and cannot imagine why others do not do the same. Indeed, I pity anyone NOT currently arranging to have themselves physically altered (i.e., corrected) in this fashion! I enjoy fish!
Only Dr. Smith could be so oVeR the TOP Drayy Matic in the use of the word creature. LOL! I know ppl in real life that do that when they complain about food & service. But, Dr. Smith should surely get an Emmy for saying "creatures"
I was too busy listening to, YOU TIN PLATED LEAD LINED BUBBLE HEADED NINNY. Had no idea how many times he said CREATURE!! Hope Fox does not remove this.
Brilliant! What say I have cosmetic surgery to look exactly like Major West. We can recruit our friends and family to do similar and recreate the entire cast! Then we can approach a major network to produce a new series! Lost in Space lives!!!
After watching this clip I will never be able to hear the word creature again without the image of Dr Zachary Smith in my mind. WARNING Will Robinson, WARNING, Dr Smith is about to say creature again, WARNING.
@49bobbyk Yes...Johnathon Harris was a seasoned actor and knew that his character would be killed off unless things changed. On another note: The writers really blew an opportunity in never pursing the Judy + Don love angle

I have based my entire life on the teachings of Dr. Zachary Smith and have never regretted it for a moment! NOT A MOMENT, I SAY! NOT ONE!!!

Anthony
He is possibly my favorite TV character of all time. Top 3, at the very least.
I want to see an insult reel featuring all the different ways that Dr. Smith chews out the robot.
That guy was a legend!!!! R.I.P. Jonathan.
As Jonathan Harris told me in 1997, "I always made splendid use of the Languange"
Brilliant - a tribute to Jonathon Harris' acting ability - "creature" said with so many nuances and tones. Thanks for posting this well edited montage.
to whomever took the time to compile & upload this montage: thanks a million, you are a wonderful.. creature!
Please do one of Dr Smiths famous screaming. I love him so much. He and Will was the whole show. God Bless you Johnathon.
That’s such a funny idea, compiling Smith saying, “creature.” It had me chuckling.
Love this Creature complilation. Great actor and character still love on.
Absolutely LOVE IT.......Thanx for putting this great video together...Dr. Smith was TOO FUNNY/CAMPY and may he rest in peace.
Imagine the nerve of that awfully rude creature, ousting Dr.Smith of his comfy quarters!👽
In 1966, I felt sorry for Angela Cartwright being Lost in Space after having left Austria in the Sound of Music.
Oh the pain. My delicate aching back. Go Dr Smith!
Maravilloso villano que hacia reir. Dios lo enga en su gloria. Doctor Smith era una maravillosa persona y actor.
Harris was a great actor, hammy and sublime.
I love the Dr Smith character.....great memories of my TV addicted childhood.......
Thank you Jonathon -RIP
My favorite part is when he says ''I shall quell this creature with my cold and unbearing stare.''
2:59
Ah hahahahah! Beautiful!! Dr. Smith WAS the show, (and the robot). Thanks for post. I watched all the time as a kid.
for some reason, i find this absolutely hilarious!!!
That's because it IS absolutely hilarious. A fellow appreciator.
Oh the pain...The pain...!
Lost in Space was prime time in Australia for 20 years....
''For it is written...Smith......you are nothing but a Smith'' (my favorite line )
Simply the greatest character in the history of television, followed closely by Mr. Haney and Jethrine Bodine.
dr smith was a major character in this show and made a very big cowardly contribution, loved this and many other 60s sci fi shows,
Brings back memories of when I was nine years old.
it just occurs to me ,my dear old friend, these wonderful, brilliant creature's of mine make of you an obsolete piece of scrap metal...
Strangely, it gets funnier as it goes along. I agree with P Mason, you should do one with robot nicknames, you wonderful brilliant creature.
I love Dr. Smith!
I think Dr. Smith says "creature" 44 times...plus 1 time by Prof. Robinson. Very entertaining!

The Atlantic City High Roller Loves This!
Dr.Smith's one good quality is that he loves William and would never do anything to hurt him.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I LOVED IT ! GREAT clip. My favorite show
Wow, this is great - loved Dr. Smith and Mr. Harris.
Jonathan Harris seemed like a classy guy. The did him a disservice by making him swishy after he played a heavy in the early Lost in Space episodes. He evidently took the unflattering role seriously so it is a tribute to his professionalism as an actor. R.I.P.
Oh God. I love you, Dr. Smith.
Never fear, Smith is here!
My favourite:
Dr Smith: "I wonder what kind of horrible creature lurks inside that spaceship..."
Will: "Probably none at all."
1:55
2:58 best clip show ever! "We are the creatures!"
i hope and pray smith is in heaven because if hes not he will be stuck with all those horrible creatures lurking about!!! one of the best sci fi actors ever!!
This is a good show glad they have Metv on regular TV. =D
0:36 thats always been my favorite creature quote from Dr. Smith
this one was fun to loop! : "two slimy bubble-like creatures were destroyed well..."
18 outlandish creatures to be pointed out and stared at.
Thanks for the great creature feature.
I LOVE this SO much.
Brilliant !
I never realized how many times Dr. Smith said "creature" in the Lost In Space series. This would make a great Lost in Space trivia question!
I love it when he says Creature!
Definately the best whimp in the galaxy.
wow every scence with dr. smith, wow, i have the whole tv season
He didn't seem to mind the green, space girl, 'creature'. "Dr Smith nose wiggles."
its all peaches and cream until someone sneaks into an alien craft and by accident releases a loathsome noxious creature
LOL, great job! Loved Lost in Space!
3 creatures dislike this. One dreadful, one terrible, and the other loathsome.
Jonathan Harris (Dr Smith) said he used to lay awake at night thinking up alliterative insults for the Robot.
Forgot this couplet from "Deadliest of the Species:"
Maureen: If John can re-wire that grid, we'll be able to defeat that creature!
Smith: "Creature" is right!
The CREATURE from the Planet of the Styrofoam Props!

0:47 this the best 'creature'!!
Ah Professor Jones, you and your creatures
Filming in the 1950s in black and white was a better quality than with cellphones today.
this show is from the 1960's !
LOL! Loved it!
Such a wordsmith!
I was too busy listening to, YOU TIN PLATED LEAD LINED BUBBLE HEADED NINNY. Had no idea how many times he said CREATURE!! Hope Fox does not remove this.
love it
Brilliant! What say I have cosmetic surgery to look exactly like Major West. We can recruit our friends and family to do similar and recreate the entire cast! Then we can approach a major network to produce a new series! Lost in Space lives!!!
This is great
Jonathan was married to his high school sweetheart, Gertrude Bregman, from 1938 until his death. They have a son, Richard
Interesting how one word can become the focus of your acting vocabulary.
1:20 I want to live on the planet where the women look like Grace Jones.
He does get some mileage out of the word. Sort of like Spock with "Fascinating."
Someone get this man a thesaurus.
According to Al Lewis (Munsters' Grandpa), Jonathan Harris talked like a Brooklyn Jew in his real voice, lol.
oh the pain the pain!
dr smith rocks
After watching this clip I will never be able to hear the word creature again without the image of Dr Zachary Smith in my mind. WARNING Will Robinson, WARNING, Dr Smith is about to say creature again, WARNING.
1:38 appears the sweetest of creatures ...
I'll check your "creatures"
and raise you 10x "oh the pain...THE PAIN"(s)!
SUPER EPIC
yes the scream, classic
Dr. Smith did say 'creature' a lot.
lol - this was hilarious
Lost in Space is on every weekday at 3.00pm channel 70, LONDON, uk.
Yeah really, I remember that too the names he called the robot, it was TOO funny.
There's lots a creatures out there in space, yo.
Jonathon Harris and Vincent Price have very similar accents.
The Mid-Atlantic accent.
CREATURE! I will now make it my word and drop it into every other sentence. Or until somebody smacks me.
Jonathon Harris was the main star of the Lost in Space show.
@49bobbyk
Yes...Johnathon Harris was a seasoned actor and knew that his character would be killed off unless things changed.
On another note: The writers really blew an opportunity in never pursing the Judy + Don love angle
Indeed...
.....I think Dr. Smith was one weird creature himself! Lol.
