I will share it at my funeral. The most beautiful piece of music. Tears come easily, for me, a man, tears are locked away in childhood. ❤❤

I listened to this on repeat at night once, shedding silent tears over the loss of a deep and most meaningful dream, one of romance and musical connection. The sadness was so deep that my whole body went cold as though I already lay in the grave. A part of me died with that dream.

as soon as i ve heard the first notes of this music i could see trains in the snow and the end of the world war 2. then slowly we are transported into the 50s , peace and memories of what humanity did, where humanity goes...

They never go....do the? They stay with us forever. And subtle things in life bring their memories as refreshing to our hearts as once their laughter did. And for this music, we are greatful, for it brought them back to our memory and for seconds we dwell in the joyous time of past life.

Какая в музыке глубина погружения и в то же время высота воспарения над бренным.
Сиюминутное вхождение в транс и нежелание его покидать.
Интерпретация за гранью возможного. Спасибо исполнителям.

There is a certain permanence or immortality associated with such a beautiful piece of music as this, that also attaches to the images in this collection of photographs -- beautiful images of people and places that may no longer be real, but nevertheless survive in our views, our memories, the way the music survives in our hearts.

The piano drops in like the gentle rain from heaven, upon sad strings beneath.
The prior melancholy is the necessary price of the sublime that follows.
    Yum, yum, yum.

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask you for a favor if it was not much to ask. I have to play the first movement of this Shostakovich concerto and I am struggling a lot writting the fingering so I wanted to ask you if you had ever played this concerto and if you would somehow share me your markings if possible, I swear this is the first time I do this. My apologies and thank you in advance. Keep up the good work everyone.❤️

The images shown, the female form, the clocks, the destructive force of time - are the link between the music and the poem by Konstantin Simonov, “Wait for me” - written from the bowels of Stalingrad.
