    His business has really taken off.
    Due to bad weather, the plane couldn't take off.
    She is jealous. She really takes after her mother.
    I took back my shoes to the store because I didn't really like them.
    She scolded her son for taking apart her favourite book.
    He didn't take on this project because he fell ill so, I just took it over from him.
    Last Saturday, I took out my mother to celebrate her birthday.
    Please check!

    Tomorrow I will go on vacation for three days, my plane will take off at 9.05 am. Before I go, I will take out my Mom for lunch. After that I will stop by the store to take it back the dress I bought, because it's too small for me. Because it's a short vacation, I don't think anyone needs to take over my project.

    My English is taken off after watching your lessons. I took after my mom in the way I talk. He did not know where is one piece after taken apart the engine. After Xmas we could take it back to customer service. I cannot take more projects on, sorry. I could take over her project after I finish my project. Every Sunday after the Concert we take our friend out for pizza. I'm looking forward to taking up a new activity but I don't know what yet.

    So pull apart and take apart means the same thing?

    • @JForrestEnglish
      @JForrestEnglish  Před 2 lety +1

      Take apart = disassemble. Think of a desk going from a whole desk to the individual parts.
      Pull apart = separate. Think of two cinnamon buns stuck together and you need to separate them. You need to pull them apart.
