I started using the ocean waves videos to help me sleep, then I remember as a kid I used to love the sound of the washing machine, it had such a calming effect. Much so I did my homework on top of the machine cause it kept my mind focused. And I had a hunch to search for this sound to sleep, and what do you know...10hrs worth, funny how the simplest things someone can do can be a blessing to others, thank you 😉👍

When I was a kid I use to sleep with my head against the washing machine feeling the heat from the hot water on the lid. I think the whole thing started when I was 5 years old riding the greyhound bus sleeping with my head on the bus window frame listening to the motor idiling.

Man I thought this wouldn't exist. My childhood bedroom was next to laundry so if my anxiety is playing up I prefer sitting next to dishwasher or washing machines now as an adult...

@@MiRa-ov6wl to be honest I love the sound/vibration combo while sittings against a dishwasher or washing machine 😅. I used to be ashamed of that. I spent many rainy days laying against these things, just mentally recharging. I know it’s weird especially as a male

I used to gradually wake up on Saturdays to this sound, and the sounds of water going through the pipes while my mom and older sisters were helping out (I was granted the lawn mowing job in the evenings) This is awesome - so many memories! Wish my mom & little sister were still here!

When I was a child, I would drag a chair over to the washing machine to climb up on it, and then curl up on top of it for a nap. If I wasn't so old, or afraid of falling off and breaking something, I'd try it now, lol!

Ahhh the good old times when i just asked to my mom to wash the clothes during the night and when i go to sleep the washing machines was working and i just sleeped fully relaxed

I love this sound because it brings so many memories when I was little I’d always sit on top of the washing machine feelings the vibrations underneath me as I have my pillow and my blanket with me getting ready to fall asleep. Now I just listen to this still being able to feel the warmth in my heart, like always I’ve watched this but I don’t think I’ve bothered to like or Subscribe. I’ll be sure to do that when I wake up from this Audio since it’s currently 1:35 AM hopefully I wake up during my timer for 5:00 AM and also is it Sunday for anyone or is it just me?

I remember the piles of laundry beside the twin tun growing up in a family of 12 and the house was cold on the morning until the fire was lit. My mam would have started the fire and then the washing. I was not scholgoing age but i remember the coldness of the house and the warmth of the twin tub. I used to lay down on the dorty laundry and wrap myself up beside the warm part of the twin tub,. I would get goosebumps and shivers all over then I'd grab a blanket or towel and wrap myself and would fall straight back to sleep..listening to this and reliving the memory helps me fall asleep. I still wrap a cover over myself no matter how cold or hot it is because it gives me a comforting effect. This video is my lullaby. Thanks for posting this video. It has really relieved my insomnia.

This is definitely one of the better white noises and I have tried most. I use it for tinnitus and always to sleep longer.

Dejuan, you are part of an elite group. I love the sound of a washer running. my favorites were my Grandmother's 1965 Westinghouse, Mom's 1967 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XVIII, and my Aunt's Frigidaire. Her KitchenAid Superba Dishwasher had a nice sound to it as well.

Tip; if your doing online classes and you have to memorize something by heart and recite it, play it very close to your mic and it will block out any mistakes you do if you didn’t study well 😄 I did that and it was good because I didn’t have time to study so I tried my best and played this next to my mike and it worked great 👍
P.S. if your instructor asks why this loud noise is in the background, tell them it’s the house plumbing water and you have no control over it

Whirlpool direct drives are the best, the one shown here sounds perfect the transmission isn’t even loud like the can be, sucks they aren’t made anymore but are one of the best you can get

Ha...I'm 53 and still love the sound. I'd curl up in front of the washer and dryer when I was little as well. Still puts me to sleep.
