Charmin bear commercial right before talking bear video. Seems legit.
😂 I was thinking how ironic!! Good stuff, even though I HATE ads.
Project Farm did a great test video on many (not all) the cordless vacs from the bigger tool brands. Worth a watch after this video 👍
yes I watched it first it tells you what really works
We have the DeWalt with the battery and plug-in option for a few years now. So far, pretty decent. We use the battery option to suck up the bugs in our RV at night when we're boondocking. 😁
I take mine camping also, great for cleaning the tent.
Absolutely love my Bosch vac! The hose is awesome, never kinks and super easy to clean
Thanks for sharing about the DeWalt 18v/20v vacuum.
I bought the Hercules mini compact blower and the mini compact vacuum handheld, both got decent power and battery life. Bought it for travel. As a truck driver I have to keep trailer and inside cab clean. Got tired of always not being able to travel with the corded ones. These fit perfectly in my luggage and I vacuum seal my clothes blanket pillow jackets and everything else. Also got a compact tool pouch for essential tools. Now if a truck brakes down and I have to fly home I'll always carry everything needed for work.
I have the 6 gal Ryobi and the smaller size Ryobi. I used the smaller one for a couple of months and it lost suction almost completely. The 6 gal is working out fine so far. I absolutely love it.
I've had the Bosch for quite a while. It is a great cordless vac. I've used on my Festool items and Dewalt table saw and it does as well if not better than my old craftsman.
If you are on the Bosch platform, don't hesitate. If you aren't, get it while Lowe's has the battery deal running.
I have the old first generation of this from DeWalt that ran on the older 18 V batteries, and I always found the power to be pretty poor on battery power. Fortunately, you could still plug it in and that was pretty decent. I also found out I didn’t really need the cordless capability very often, so nowadays I just have a electric/plug-in craftsman 2 gallon shop vac and it works just great. A lot of these models you showed look so darn cool it makes me want to get one.
The Bosch is the truth!!!
Had it since last summer. Run-time is a lot longer if you use it in quick spurts. Continuous vacuuming will drain a 4Amp battery in 16 minutes [and that battery will be hot].
I put a shoulder strap on it. With the extension tubes, I can walk around cleaning the floor without bending over. Hose management is actually quite clever and it doesn't kink.
Highly recommend. I believe it comes with a 4Amp battery at Lowes right now, making it a slammin' deal if you run Bosch stuff.
I bought the Kobalt last months and my wife and I love it, especially for vacuuming the vehicles. Put a 6.0AH battery in it and it outlast me! I simply LOVE not plugging up or filling up anymore!!
This is a great video!! I have been
looking at the Dewalt and the Hercules models for my Semi as
I have both tool platforms!!!
The dewalt vac is the reason I entered the Dewalt battery line. Very happy with it. Great for quick clean up around the shop.
My boss bad one of those. It was used a lot, i got the Ryobi 18v 4.75 G one because I already had invested in Ryobi battery line. Sadly, his vac, drills and batteries were stolen. So we only have the Ryobi one at the moment. We got used to the Ryobi one but when we get a chance we’ll get the Dewalt again.
I was just looking for one of these, they seem like they would be pretty useful.
Hey Jeff, did you see the test Project Farm did on these handheld vacuums? He really put these things through the ringer.
His recent heated jacket showdown was dang entertaining.
Project farm is awesome. He gets so in depth with all is comparison vids. Love his channel
The Bosch was shite.
Makita XCV11Z has been excellent for me, but I was already invested in the Milwaukee LXT ecosystem. I actually replace my Festool CT33 with it for tool dust collection. I love it.
I have multiple of these. Love the kobalt, but my absolute favorite is the royobi metal canister cordless vac. For $50 and 4.75 gallon it’s a killer vac good battery life with 4.0ah battery it’s a great deal and is super rugged. Use it everyday on the job site
Probably not really on topic, but there are several bee keepers that use cordless, rechargeable vacs for wrangling bees from hives. They have lower suction and are usually metered. They're great for wrangling bees where your power options are limited. They also use 120v vacs, but the cordless is pretty dang good.
Love my M-18 Milwaukee. Project Farm did a great test video on a bunch of these, FYI
I had both Milwaukee 18v vacuums and they they just don't have the suction for anything but a small clean up situation. The short hose is annoying as well. They just don't have the CFM of a real shop vac.
I bought the Milwaukee one before they came out with the fuel model, but it works amazing. Work, home, cleaning out mine and the wife's vehicles, does drain the battery good, but I have many as I'm in the M18 line for work.
FYI, the Bosch @ Lowes has a promotion going on now where it includes the Core18v 4 Amp-Hour Lithium Power Tool Battery Kit (battery & charger) for free! Might want to update the video.
Best deal ever.
@@paedahe4975, I could never tell if my new Dewalt tools were new or refurbished, so I switched to Bosch, Milwaukee and EGO.
Also, where was your segue? It was like you put your reply in the wrong comment.
Boy does this video suck! Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week!
Been sucking watery sludge and clogged drains with my 3gal Ridgid for several years at work only issue I've had was the wires on the motor being attached with spade connectors but I cut those out and soldered the wires on and hasn't been an issue since the vac has plenty of power but you gotta run a 4ah or larger battery for it to be useful. And just recently I swapped to the 9gal version and love it even better.
Thanks bear, now I know what a potato cannon looks like.. l learn something everyday.
So I have the DeWalt battery only model. If I’m going to be plugging a vac in it’s going to be my full size shop vac. I use this to quick clean up stuff in truck. Or when I’m up high and don’t wanna lug the cord and hose. They are not super powerful. But it gets the job done. Drilling holes and don’t wanna make a mess. Works perfect set in a ladder nice.
I own a DeWalt cordless, and am extremely happy with it.
I have had the Milwaukee m18 one for 9 years. It’s loud as hell but keeps on chugging.
The Armor All vacuum is made by Vacmaster. They also brand a tire inflator, small blower and buffers for Armorall.
I have the dewalt one and love it! I'm already in the the dewalt 20v line and that vacuum is great!
I got the Makita one for Christmas. Its great, I use it all the time.
Got that ryobi 6 gal vac from a guy on Craigslist cleaning his garage. He used it once and I paid $40. Sweet deal. Make sure you bring at least a 4ah battery with ya. She uses power but has great suction. I also have the makita 18v hand vac. The black and blue one. That thing is great for quick cleanup I use it a lot for work. Having the two of them really has me covered.
I bought the Ryobi as a 3rd wet/dry vac and use it more than the others because it is so portable and works pretty good.
Same here. Haven't used my ridgid plug in since I bought the ryobi. Even though the ridgid wipes the floor with the ryobi it's just too big and clunky.
LOVE my Ryobi. I put an old sock over the filter as a pre filter using a rubber band. I keep a clean one in the can in a plastic bag as a back up. I get a lot more mileage out of my filter this way. I use my vac a lot.
@@brandonswan9247 ridgid makes a cordless ina 9gal and a few other sizes. They even have one thats like the dewalt and milwaukee ones shown here. Idk why he shows the crappiest one ridgid makes when they have a bunch of others way better and not much more $
@@jacksmith2315 I've seen nicer Ridgids in shootouts. they make a very nice cordless vac (maybe the best on the market). I would have gotten it if I was on Ridgid's battery platform already.
@@brandonswan9247 project farm actually did a showdown w this exact ridgid vac up against the other big name ones. Eventhough it looks weird and doesnt have attachment storage, it blew the others away. He did all kinds of test w it n ridgid won just about if not all of them. Id like to see the other cordless ridgids against this one if this won beat the other big brands
I’m deep into the Ryobi One+ system. I own the 6 gallon vac you reviewed towards the end of the video. It works awesome and stores well. I use the 9ah battery, which gets tons of suction and time to clean. The 360 rotation feature is great because I can basically pull it behind me in any direction and have both hands free to move stuff out of the way while I vacuum. I’m thinking to pick up the Ryobi stick vac for the kitchen. Does anyone have the stick vac? Thoughts???
I have been using the kobalt for around the shop small clean ups, cleaning the cars. Works fine. Would like it to be dual powered but not bad if you got a couple fully charged batteries(4ah or higher, don't bother with 2ah)
love the avatar..very clever, And..a great review. Will be very helpful this year for Christmas
Ryobi also has a 3 gallon vacuum which has worked well for me. The attachment storage could be better like you've noted elsewhere.
strongly considered getting the dewalt corded/cordless but considering i was only going to be using it for furniture cleaning and the car, i decided to get the armor all! plus the usb power adaptor looks like it could come in handy! comes in on friday!
I have the Bosch. I really like it. Has a HEPA filter, it's just as powerful as my plug in craftsman vac. But I doesn't blow.
I've been eyeing the Bearcules cordless vac. Now I feel better about the price seeing that it's on par with the rest of the field. In home appliance repair work I need it for dryers and coils. And trying to find an outlet in people's homes is a pain. I'll be happy to turn it on suck up the lint and be done, not wrestling the cord will be a time saver.
Christmas tree shop has a great deal on the kobalt 80v max brushless 21 inch push mower . Just pick it up for $229 . Lowe’s still has it on the website for $499
Just Got into to Kobalt 24v line to fix up dad's house. Love the wet dry vac. My wife findings out simpler than the our large Dewalt.
I purchased a Bosch 18v Cordless vac. I works as well as I expected. I does NOT have a blower function. But, that is O.K. with my intended use. I purchased it through Lowe's website. They offer a 10% veterans discount. They offered a free gift: a 4AH battery pack and charger. Worth more then Vacuum itself! I also ordered a few other items.
I have used the Kobalt vacuum and I loved it till the latch broke. It did a great job but the latch base molded into the tub snapped off fairly quickly.
That's disappointing. Mine is still solid as a rock. I hope you are taking advantage of that Kobalt 5 year warranty.
I like the Hercules model, which is very similar to the DeWalt (which also looks very nice). Obviously it's nowhere near as big as something like my old, cord-only Craftsman shop vac, but I love being able to store it on a shelf and its attachments don't flop off when I roll the damn thing around.
I searched for months n hercules seemed best for me. Dual power was a must
The Hercules is now $90 tool only. The common thing I see, is buying within the tool/battery line you're already invested in
Jeff, any word on BAUER id hope they come out with one similar to the hurcules with dual power .if not ill just buy the m18 milwaulkee
The craftsman one works good.
I have one. I got the v20 stuff in out door tools, so I had the batteries, grabbed the vacuum.
It’s good
I brought a brand new moosoo L10 plus vac for just under £25 and after researching, it shares Makita batteries which I manage to find a generic Makita battery online with a higher amp than the original one it comes with however I haven't managed to find a spare filter. I will be buying a new 18v AC/DC charger with a higher amp than the one given which should significantly decrease the overall charging time from 8hrs.
Once I receive the vac I will have to test everything out but at £25 with buying a better spare battery to increase runtime and better charger, it will bring it to a total of £60, I am defo not complaining esp after watching comparison test videos and it coming out being up there with a Dyson V11 and slightly better than the DeWalt
On the Black Friday sale at Lowe’s, for $200 I bought a 20 v power detect DeWalt brushless recip kit (saw + bag + 8 ah battery) & got the DeWalt vacuum free.
This guy is hilarious man. He is not holding back on the amazon vacuum. He’s completely destroying the product and it’s reputation. The truth hurts, and it’s also funny to hear😂
I have the Bosch just because it’s the only one with a usable length hose. Bought a battery adapter and use my Makita batteries.
Sounds like I’m going to stick to the corded big boys when it comes to a wet/dry vac. Unless I have a very specific task for a portable version they make no sense for me. But who knows, maybe I’ll find that specific task in the future as I have a collecting impulse ever since I collected Pokémon cards in the 90’s.
You did good but you missed the smaller Ryobi project shop vac and the hart shop vac at Walmart. Both come in around $75-80 tool only
I really like the design of that kobalt vacuum. I like everything being neat an away. Really just want something to clean up the car. I got 3 young cubs and you know how that is
Ditto! Also great for saw dust around the miter saw, table saw etc...
how did the HART $79 not get shown?? did I miss it? also some walmarts have it clearance for less than that...
I've got the Ryobi cordless vacuum and really like it. You better have more than one battery though because a 6Ah battery only lasts about 15 minutes. Speaking of batteries, what are your thoughts on the generic 3rd party batteries? Been thinking about getting one or two to try.
They are really hit or miss, even from the same brand.
In my opinion, all cordless vacs should have the option to plug in as well. Convenience of cordless but cleaning up an interior job, theres generally an outlet around.
I got the Ryobi 3 gallon p3240 that you didn't mention. I got it on direct tools outlet reconditioned for $60. It sucks. Very convenient.
+1 love it
I have the smaller Hercules one, it's like a dust buster on steroids! I've really been liking it! $59 bucks without a discount.
Hey Bear, you missed the Ryobi 3 gal wet/dry vac. 18-Volt ONE+ 3 Gal. Project Wet/Dry Vacuum with Accessory Storage (Tool-Only), $99.00
For light jobs I have this one. Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Compact Vacuum with INKZALL Black Fine Point Jobsite Marker
The DeWalt is nice. Kobalt also comes with battery and the bosh
That moosoo battery looks awfully like dewal knock offs. I wonder if fits dewalt charges and tools
Wtf.. Why is there no test bids on Hercules? I've been looking all or n yet to find one.
for $100, i would prefer to get a full size shop vac. costco canada has one in chrome from dewalt.
fun fact guys if your heavily in on the old DeWalt go on ebay for £15 or about 20usd you can buy a adapter plate to use the li ion batteries (we use it alot) and works fine this is in Europe id guess its same in usa
Iam debating between dewalt and the rigid VAC4010
I have the bauer one. I had a family member buy me a dewalt one for Xmas. I am in both dewalt and bauer tool line. I sold the dewalt. It seemed the bauer had equivalent power and was lighter. Bauer clearly has thinner plastic. But it's been going strong over 2 years now.
I love it potato cannon gotta have that!
also for you guys in makita u can get a adapter to use it on ryobi if u want this vac
Biggest thing for me is how secure the latches are. I picked up the Hart for $25 clearance and learned why quickly. The latches aren't very secure at all. I still use it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I will wait for the Bauer model!
Do you think harborfreight would ever put this on all of their tool line?
I fuming love the talking bear how you do it
I want a hybrid vacuum that's built into a storage system. Why is festool to only one able to do that? Craftsmen should make that in a versastack. The tstak "dust extractor" is stupid and is larger than the system itself
No option for replacing the filter on the Moosoo either.
What I see are brushed motors and brushless motors the brushless ranges from $170 and up, the brushed versions range from $170 down centered around $150. That's the main difference I see.
No mention of the Hart 20 volt cordless 2 gallon wet dry vacuum $79 bare tool $139 with battery and charger at Walmart.
I have the makita and the milwaukee, both great ones, makita lasts longer on a battery charge.
I got the worx vacuum from ebay. Got mine for $60. They have a discount store on there and I get 10-15% off most of the time. They have the 2 gal for $70 right now as well
@denoftools you completely looked over the fact that the Bosch vacuum at lowes is part of the promo, buy the vac and get a 4ah/ charger starter kit
I have the ridgid and to be honest I never really considered the storage, I just needed a shop vac I didn't have to plug in and the ridgid is really powerful (at least compared to how powerful I thought it would be) which I consider to be significantly more important than nozzle storage.
Same here. I never really thought about on-board storage for it either. It works really well. Our home is all tile and I use it with a standard extension from my Ridgid shopvac. It eats that battery charge quickly, but has plenty of power.
My biggest gripe with it is emptying the bin is messy.
I also like that replacement filters for the Ridgid are available at any HomeDepot. Many of these small vacs don't have a replaceable filter, only one you clean and reuse.
If these are vacuums..why doesn't anyone talk about vacuum? How much pressure..how much volume?
Ryobi 3 Gal. Project Wet/Dry Vacuum?
So, the thing about dewalts vacuum. You can’t clean that filter without it falling apart. And you have to order the sucker direct from dewalt. It’ll run you like $50 too. Granted that may be simply be because of the shipping to my area. But jeez. I need the vacuum. So I just bought a second one while waiting on the daggum filter.
I use a broom and dust pan.
That MOOSOO battery looks a lot like a Makita...
My comment exactly. Slipped right past the bear.
I know nothing about the Kobalt vac, but would Deffo take a blind punt at it! Only ever heard good things about Kobalt gear. So i wouldn't hesitate buying it, even with myself not knowing any details about...power , suction etc. That's rare.
Metabo HPT has one and it’s very good but pricey.
I recently bought the Hart cordless wet dry vac for 25 bucks. not bad
Same here!
That kobalt looks really similar to the milwaukee ool
Hey Bear, since you were doing small versions of vacs, I'm surprised you only featured the Ryobi 6 gallon. I was hoping you had some words on their 3 gallon version. And, like you always say, "shine on".
If I remember correctly, at the time it was unavailable.
I wish the craftsman vac was corded and fit on the versastack. We want the big ridgid square wheel around corded, but it’s been out of stock for 8 months or so. I’m in the Milwaukee line, I have the non fuel version, which is fine, but it kills batteries pretty quick, and big batteries are pricey. Corded is what we need in this decent form factor. I may pick up the dewalt for this reason. I hate lugging the big bucket vacuums around.
If it fit the stack I might have actually bought one.
nice vacs thanks tool bear.
I didnt believe it either but project farms tested all of them and that ridged one ended up being the better option because it had more suck power then the rest
That Dewalt vacuum isnt particularly new. I bought one about 5 years ago. I was really happy with it for the time it worked. However, i didnt get much mileage out it. So buy at your own risk.
JIENUO 20V Max 4.0AH Battery High Capacity Rechargeable Battery for Cordless JN706/JN707 (purchased minutes ago)
Sells for less than a Benjamin (including tax). Additional batteries available. Great reviews...I'll edit this later for my review.
i have the packout vacout and i kinda regret it, if youre moving a vac 24/7 its really not worth it.
The Moosoo looks like a Makita battery. Did you try that??
I thought that it looks like my blue Bosch 18v batteries, but, yeah.
Hey Bear, did you ever post pics of the Moosoo and it's battery on Discord?? I'd like a gander if possible.. 😬👍
No, but I'll see what I can do this weekend.
