@Shputim Shaqiri It's an opioid...and extremely extremely difficult to get off of when all is said and done. Opiates only take a few days to kick. Pharmaceuticals tout this novel opioid as a treatment for opiate addiction. At best, it is a highly, powerfully addictive substitute. At best---numbs the human and blunts emotions and reactions.... rots the teeth over time, blunts sexual response, and tends to make an outgoing person socially withdrawn for starters. These are just truths that the manufacturers do not want you to know. No, you won't crave opiates because you will be too full of a fake opiate to care. Then it takes years to stop the Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome, so that's just starters.

I was on Suboxone for 10 years, for a 1 year Percocet addiction! I'm so happy to be free from everything! I will forever be a testimony for Sublocade. God bless and good luck to you all!

How did you feel a week after your first shot? J/w cuz I felt horrible after day 8. For four months in a row I've had to call the doc and get supplemental suboxone, and each shot has been 300mg. I am sched. for a 5th shot of 300mg sublocade, as well as my 6th will be a 300mg. Tox results showed my metabolism is high and burns thru the injection too quickly, and my base levels of bupe after sublocade plummeted after a week each time. Even though I've had 4 shots, my bupe levels are showing a level of someone who has merely had one injection. If the numbers don't rise past a certain level after the 6th 300mg shot (painful fucking shit) then we're ditching the sublocade and going back to sublingual. So, just wondering how you're journey is going.... thanks.

This is why the shot is so awesome. IMO it shouldn’t be used as a replacement for Suboxone (even though it’s made by the same company) they intended it to be used long term but I don’t know why anyone would switch to the shot if they don’t plan on stopping bupe altogether. 3-4 months tops and then you should stop taking it.

He told me that it would work best when I have a better grip on my stressers and dont think of opiates as a way to deal with stress. So, for now, im still on the Suboxone sublingual tablets. I havent relapsed during my 3 years and 9 months of treatment, but ive had moments where I almost caved because of stress, so I wont do the shot just yet. One question and concern i have though is, im extremely skinny and not sure if that has anything to do with it but basically I still have all 5 lumps from the injection sites still, not painful but very Hard and the surrounding area of my lower abdomen muscles have felt very weak ever since then and show 0 signs of going away, getting better and I can only hope this is an over active imagination but even slowly getting worse, and im wondering if anyones had this or any similar issues with the injection sites after being off of it or even while still on it. I wish everyone nothing but strength on their journey. It does get better.

I highly been thinking about switching to the shot and been on the oral Subutex for close to ten years and was thinking back when I was getting it off the street and trying to get off or wien down myself and there was times when I couldn't find anything for days or week at a time and would be sick and couldn't move but as soon as I seen the subs I had relief just seeing it and realized alot of how I felt was in my mind! I know a few friends who have done the shot had had no withdrawals and for me I believe not having to wake up everyday and take a pill to start your day would help mentally to make you maybe think your not on it or as focused on taking something just to function 🤔 my doctor said I can try it and if I absolutely don't like it or it don't work that I can always go back on the pills which was comforting!

I'm so ready to make this jump, been doing a lot of research on reddit and elsewhere to help determine my willpower with this.
I find the dosing ritual to be comforting but I'm pretty sure that's my addict brain, not really a positive.
It would be helpful for people like me who feel that need to place a sub, to be able to take a dummy strip in place of the real one, to kinda keep that ritual but able to break it easier without wds, or pwd.
Sometimes it's really just the act of placing it and dissolving it as we do our daily routines that's needed, while the injection works in the background.. hopefully that makes sense, it's been a long day for me so the right words aren't coming to me as they normally would.. lol
Just a thought on what could help people who really need that sub ritual while tapering off on the Subutex!

I think I’d prefer to stay on the strips. Personally I don’t like the idea of not being in control of how much buprenorphine is released in my body on a day to day basis. Because some days I take less than other days. Some days I have to let the buprenorphine clear out of my system for 12 hours to a day before taking more or my brain will just get tired of being on it nonstop, and also so I’m not tired 24/7. Taking less some days can also help me with tapering down on my own.

I wonder, if you are stable on a low dose of Suboxone, say 2mg or 4mg of Suboxone per day, would you be able to get a Sublocade injection at a lower dose than the 300mg/month one you mentioned? Is there a shot available that is 50mg/month? If so, would you then be able to get that 50mg injection, go the 25-30 days after the injection was administered, and use that delivery method to become physically non-dependent from the medication? Logically, it sounds like that would create an environment that would provide patients to experience a much more comfortable taper process, with the end goal of being free from Suboxone or any medication assisted treatment, but I do not know if it works that way. Thank you.

So, in the hospital I was on fentanyl, Percocet and dilaudid. I truly don’t believe it even touched the pain at all. The Sub blocked any of the pain relief. Gosh it was truly horrendous.
Therefore, I am wanting so badly to get off sub because if I have a car wreck or some other surgery(I’m sick always), I don’t want to ever endure that type of agonizing pain again! It’s pure he11!
Just informing you since you asked:) 😩😂

From what I've heard it requires high doses a very lipophilic opioids such as fentanyl and dilaudid to be able to knock the buprenorphine off of the receptor site.

Does anyone have any advice for me? Today I went in to get my first injection. I want to go on it for many reason. I've been on films for almost 5 years. I'm ready to come off and I've been told the injection is a great way to come off. But today I had a panic attack and I changed my mind. My pain tolerance has gone down extremely low since becoming an opiate addict. I'm afraid of how badly it hurts. But I am also afraid of how I will do mentally. I cant just take something if I start to feel sick. I really do want to go on this injection but these two things are holding me back. They said they will hold the sublocaide for me unless I decide I really don't want it.

Good stuff but you missed the best reason to go with sublocade over suboxone. NO WITHDRAWALS. For the first time ever we have a royal road off of opiates. Yes, i know your supposee to taper down and come off the subs with minimal withdrawal. this is fantasy. the taper down process sucks. then coming off sucks. infact if you cold turkey without a taper the withdrawal is much worse than straight opaite withdrawal. iv seen the taper process work and get people off opiates withdrawal maybe twice out out hundreds. Coming off sublocade was a breeze. i couldnt believe it when they told me it was out of my system
the shot can hurt a little bit but you want to get licocane to rub on your stomach before hand. just ask your doc for it. i didnt have the licocane when i went thru the process but i hear it helps. also.. you dont have to get the shot every month like they say. the 10 mg hurts and after 60 days i still had the same levels as i had after one week. so i would go and get the shot every other month and my levels were the exact same as the people getting the shot every month. So if the shot hurts you.... just get it every other month. that seems to be fine with levels of bup in your system and u only have to get half the amount of shots that sting a little.
its actaully harder to keep the sublocade shot hidden cuz of the bump on your stomach. just putting something under your tonge is easy. hiding a big bump under your skin is hard.
being ablke to dose yourself is not necessarily a good thing mentally. maybe if they like the taste or the routine, thats OK. but you dont want someone using the subs for anxiety control or something. which seems to happen a lot w sublingual tabs. someone gets a llitte chill down there spine and thinks they need to take a sub to be ok. When in actuality its just a normal biorhythm throughout the day or a situation that would be anxiety inducing for a normal person. the Suboxone user can take more Suboxone during that time. its gives them bad habits and a focus on ingesting a chemical to be confortable when your going to have to eventually deal with that situation and those feeling without the suboxone. when you have the sublocade shot in you, you just think " OK this isnt withdrawal or post accuate withdrawal. this is a normal semi unconfortable experience that im just going to have to get through.

I weaned from 02 tablets q 08 h years ago and it was very rough and took me two years. Do you accept cash patients? I have no insurance. My husband is self employed and I worked private practice part time.

Hey Papa Doc, Sam Afgan here. Had to change my name because my account was erased under my original name because I made a video about how the Moderna Vaccine gave me severe myocarditis and even believe it or not left ventricular problems my c reactive protein was over 8 from the shots. Anyways to the point of this video I’m actually finally getting off the suboxone now with almost no withdrawals because I took months to study and find the best compounds to help get off the opioids. Here are the magical compounds to significantly help get off opioids that most people don’t even know about. First “Memantine” which is one of the most proper NMDA antagonists like DXM or ketamine but it doesn’t cause psychoactive effects like those compounds and has a longer half life. In Iran there’s tons of studies on this and they actually use memantine or dxm in their methadone clinics they give patients one of these nmda antagonists along with their methadone or suboxone and it prevents them from developing a tolerance so they can stay on lower doses. Next injections of Cerebrolysin and Cortexin these are peptides from porcine sources which basically means it’s peptides extracted from pigs brains like BDNF and NGF, in America you don’t hear of these compounds because in America it’s not profitable to cure things these peptides cause massive amounts of neurogenesis like lions mane mushrooms are supposed to. If you inject and NOT IV but IM over 15ml of cerebrolysin it actually stops withdrawals so that kind of enforced my belief that one of the reasons ibogaine helps so much must be because it induces neurogenesis. Then there’s a anti inflammatory compound known as “ibudilast” another compound that helps with opioid withdrawals, lastly there is a peptide known as DSIP aka Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide there’s studies on how this peptide helps alleviate opioid withdrawals and since it is a peptide for sleep mainly i take it at night to help actually get decent sleep because that’s one of the biggest issues with coming off opioids is the insomnia and the less you sleep the crappier you feel and the slower you recover. Finally after 6 years I’m on my way to get off the suboxone. I’m one of those who believes the suboxone is harder to come off of than heroin. I guess it’s true that the longer the half life of a drug the more difficult and lengthy the withdrawals will be.
