- This week we took a drive up the Coast with our eyes set on Morro Bay California. We are riding the Black Pearl Sportfishing on a Mag-12 sponsored 1.5 day trip. We were absolutely not disappointed. After fishing bluefin most of the year, I'm going up to MB after Thanksgiving and do some rockfishing.
Sometimes, it's nice to take a break from BFT and do some "fun" fishing. 👍
@@FullSpeedFishingTV I have a vacation home in MB and I used to fish up there a lot as a kid with my grandparents, but I haven't fished up there since then. I fish the So Cal offshore scene mostly, but a few times a year I fish up in Oxnard and do the rockfish thing. I always enjoy those trips.

I went years ago when the 2 day trip included a steak dinner the first evening. The second day fishing we were about 1/2 mile off the coast looking at Hearst’s Castle. We were allowed to catch 2 day limits in one day. We were using bait we caught the night we got there(perch).
Get your group together and drive to San Quintin Baja California. If you like to drop or throw iron your group will love it there. If you can drive 4 hours to fish there you can drive 5 hours to San Quintin.

Great video. Recently went on the Avenger out of Morro Bay Landing Patriot fishing and caught massive reds 5 to 10 pounds. After catching limit on reds in 450 foot water off of Cambria went to shallow water at 150 feet and switched to slow pitch jig light set up and caught and finished up our limit with Canary's ChiliPeppers, Gophers, Blues, etc... Had a lot of fun on a sunny and calm windless day at sea.

on a 1.5 day trip do you keep 2 days worth of fish, or 1 day limits worth of fish?
The way this boat sets it up, you can keep 2 day limits!
How much is the trip on the party boat? Probably not cheap.
This was a chartered trip so the price was 460 meals included. However, the black pearl also has 12 hour long range trips for 170.

That's not fishing, that's going to the fish market. Don't need state of art equipment. They would have ate a sinker with a hook.
