Hey MotorBeamers. What’s your favourite feature in the MG Astor?
Interior, of course...it's almost Lexus
Interior
ADAS because it can prevent an accident happening in the 1st place.
Indian car makers should learn from Astor on how to design a Cars interior...or Learn from Mazda...They are just sublime for what you are paying.
MG? no...(MG is basically same interior as many Chinese SAIC motor cars, nothing exclusive to the brand)
Mazda interior? yes.. The interior is top notch and they understand that driver don't waste time in infotainment system.. Mazda 3 for example is a beauty and a benchmark for hatchback design, interior and exterior...
Unfortunately Mazda is going to premium segment and never entered India with their accessible lineup..

Indian manufacturers....who..tata and mahindra? Forget interiors...they need engineer a car properly without quality issues. That should be the first priority.

I am from Spain 🇪🇸 and got the mg zs ( astor in India) for 6 months now en 15 000km and it's a really good car and one of the cheapest car u can buy here

Defenitely far better than the competition. We can feel the real european build quality in the interior and as a VW fan i feel shame to say but the car feels well put together compared to kushaq and taigun.
As a VW fan, you are very honest because not many VW fans will admit to that.
I've not checked out the VW Taigun but I was slightly disappointed with the build quality of the Kushaq. It doesn't match the reputation that Skoda had with respect to build quality.

i own an astor what he said is 100 % correct its better car its suspension is better than any car in this segment . its only for youth tech enthusiastic guys
Been using saavy turbo top line variant , for a year now. I have never got a mileage of more than 7-8 in city rides. And yes i dont do rash driving or keep the AC temp below 24. Poor poor mileage. Highways in 80-100kmph it’s only 14-15. But city its worse.

Tata nexon dark top model manual or mg astor sharp manual. I know there is a price gap but considering the interiour, safety, build quality ,design . I am very confused between the two.Please suggest
Please go with nexon....nearly 0 body roll, I'm owner of astor that's my con
Nexon will never give you the sense of luxury that Astor will. We do not buy cars everyday, if you buy one, buy a good one.

You must be having the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated engine. That's quite sluggish at the initial stage.

MG is the good car how amazing car was but we can’t justify our Indian mindset relative to CAR

Only drawback no ventilated seat , no 1.5 Turbo Petrol AT & no 1.5 Diesel AT like creta kia & Mileage is worst as hell 7-8 city we need atleast 12 in city
& in Long 14-16 need ..and no wireless apple carplay no wireless chargwr

completely scripted review! Take a test drive, go to 30 degree up hill (just like taking a flyover), drive 1.3 Manual Naturally aspirated, come back to this comment and give me feedback on what you feel.

I have 1.5MT i felt there is no issue while driving on slopes , its all about how we drive not the power of car 🙂
There is no 1.3 naturally aspirated.
Just shows anybody can comment anything without knowing anything. There is no 1.3 manual naturally aspirated in mg Astor. Get your head checked somewhere.

Not too sure what prompts Indians to pick up Chinese MG cars they are neither good on quality or brand appeal. What's offered to Indians at a premium is cheap tin box. As long as we have folks running behind Chinese brands they will continue to push their below par quality stuff to Indians.
It's the safest car under 30 lakhs apart from xuv700 and quality is so rich all around

Pitty on you if you consider Land Rover as an INDIAN Company.
This is the worst car among all models and all companies with respect to power. My cousin brother has done blender mistake by purchasing this car. It was not able to climb shopping mall parking area in Bangalore. I came back to basement then again climed with AC of. You can't overtake even auto some times. Useless car. Please don't look at features. I can say Alto is far better than this with respect to power. Mileage is 5-6 in city and 10-11 in highway. Friends my suggestion is not to by this car even it comes for free. I have bad experience
That's definitely the non turbo car. The turbo is quite powerful.

These so called desis outsource their engines, gearboxes, infotainment, sunroof, all electronics, heck even the keyfob internals are bought from Chinese vendors.
