    I'm happy to see you back, Georgia ☺ Thank you very much for another very informative video. Especially the part about chords was of interest to me. I play guitar and know how to play for instance a maj7 chord by heart, but without the theoretical knowledge, it is pure guesswork for me, when I occasionally need to "translate" a guitar chord to a piano chord. Your videos make a lot of sense and I'm ever so slowly beginning to understand the logic in the theory and to be able to use what I have learned from the videos 🙂 Oh, and thank you for using The Beatles as an example, it made me feel somewhat on home ground 😎
    I wish all the best for you, and I would really appreciate it if you continue offering these teachings.
    Kindest regards, Erik

      Hi Erik! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such an extensive comment!! I'm so happy to know that the videos are connecting some dots for you with the theory and patterns behind the cool sounds you've already been making on guitar and now on piano too. I figured it's hard to go wrong with the Beatles - glad you think so too! Let me know if you get stuck and have any questions, I'm here to help. :)

    Lovely teacher! I enjoyed the lesson in its entirety. Madam, do teach privately? Would like to enrol with you. (Think I heard you teaching chord families sometime ago😊, am I right?).

    Wish I can afford a Charles Walter? console piano, but I live in the middle east and shipping costs are very expensive let alone taxes 😢

    • @pianowithgeorgia
      @pianowithgeorgia  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I am so glad that you enjoyed the video! I completely understand how costly pianos can be. You might consider a digital piano as you save up for a console. The main features to watch for in a digital instrument are: touch sensitive (this means it will play louder and softer), weighted keys (this is a simulation of the weight that an acoustic piano has due to the lifting of the hammer), 88 keys (full keyboard size) and a pedal or a port to plug a pedal into. I am sorry my response took so long, I thought I had written you already, but apparently I just thought about what I wanted to tell you! Thanks so much for watching!

    I'm a dyslexic composer who managed to grow up around Jazz Thanks to my Jr. High band director and jazz musician and other jazzers through life. In trying to overcome dyslexia and become a better general reader I failed repeatedly as I was so satisfied by reading and writing lead sheets. To this day anyway.

      Wow, kudos to your band director and your own determination for sticking it out. What a great story. I grew up with classical music, and I discovered lead sheets and found them so freeing too. Keep making your music!! 🎵😊

    Hello mam,can you be my piano teacher??
    I just bought my piano last 3 days..and i don't find any teacher here,,

      @pianowithgeorgia  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi! I am so glad you have a new piano and that you are playing! Teaching is what I do, but at the moment my schedule is jam packed. There are lots of teacher associations that can help you find a teacher in your area, or if you are looking for an online teacher there is a new service called Forte that matches teachers and students for online lessons. In the meantime, I hope that my videos can help you along! Thank you for watching!

    pls make the sheet music portion lots bigger in proportion to your visage. when you do the instruction on the lead sheet with skinny pen circles, too fast, too faint, too glissy for real beginners to follow.
