This is a clip from my livestream I did on release day with Acai, Jasonparadise, and 760 Creations. 760 had to step out for a bit, so our pal Darkly joined us as our 4th. Epic was kind enough to give us early access to all the songs in the game, which is how we were able to play this song. Thank you Epic Games!

I think they'd replace the green notes in the intro with the triangles so it plays kinda the same
If I were DragonForce I'd pick Cry for Eternity instead. It's a lot harder than TTFAF and would bring a whole load of fresh hype to an extremely underrated song.

Forgot to bring this up, but the implication of timed note bonuses really sets this game apart from the other 5 laners. Being rewarded for playing notes on time is extremely satisfying.

It'll likely be a update for the mode when the guitars drop to allow toggling strumming.
Those who don't own a guitar can just disable strumming and play how it is now

The reason why it may seem undercharted is because many people are playing it on controller
Even on controller it still feels under charted most hard rhythm games don't have instruments and they use controller it's just epics default control scheme that makes the chart the way that it is

Dude, exactly what I referred to the other day, man and it's up now! Why isn't this song on Rock Band 4 yet? I think it's coming though... Maybe. Lol. This chart looks insanely fun to play. Great job on the gold stars. Using a standard controller on the Xbox Series X is giving me Guitar Hero 2 PlayStation 2 flashbacks to when my friends that got me into the game wouldn't let me use the guitar at first. It's okay though, cause by the time that year was over, not only did I have my own guitar, but I was better than they were. Muahahaha! 😂🤣
That's just a fun little memory though. I did come to figure out at least for me that drums are actually pretty easy to do on the standard controller, because of the steady beats that drums tend to keep throughout the songs. It allows you to get the muscle memory flowing. FC'd The Search by NF on Expert Drums.

i wonder if they’ll implement proper hammer-ons once they add guitar controller support. My biggest gripe with the game currently is the fact we have to purchase practically all of the tracks but I can understand since it’s a free game. Hopefully this convinces Xbox/Activision to make a new Guitar Hero

Don't really know what to think so far. It is really fun but at same time if you wanna buy the songs its 500 v's a piece and that is too much.
Honestly i also hope they eventuelly if we get more songs do the thing like GHTV did where you get to play dozen a songs constanty, since if we are gonna have only few a day its gonna get a bit dull, even if more get added.
So, how exactly do you play those "triangle" notes (just asking, because I'm not really a Fortnite kind of guy).
Those are lift notes. You hit those by lifting up off the note you were pressing directly before it.
You can also play them the same as regular notes if you want.
Inb4 someone imports the GH3-TTFAF chart into F-Fest.

You'd have to do some weird translating to emulate the pull off mechanic, you'd have to replace those with open hopos or something. It would work, but would be scuffed

wait do you hold for the little gray triangles? i thought you had to tap twice really quickly
They're called release notes in game, generally they come directly after a regular note and you can either hit them like a normal note, or hold the note before them a little bit and release the button when the arrow comes up. Most of the time you can actually just not even change how you play, you'll probably natuarally hit it by releasing the note before. But on some songs they make you hold for a little

Why are people choosing the hardest songs to play on mainstage. On expert its hard enough but people are selecting somgs that have a high difficult rating.
What do the arrows above the notes mean. I haven't tried this game mode out yet but I want to know what to do when I do.
They're just pull-off notes, release the key/button/fret when the note passes the strum line.
