Leopard Creek is one of the world's most outstanding and exclusive golfing developments, which has, since its inception in 1996, built an enviable international reputation for the quality and conditioning of its amazing estate.
Located adjacent to the Crocodile River on the fringes of the Kruger National Park, Leopard Creek is the realisation of an individual dream, that of Johann Rupert, who enlisted the help of national golfing icon Gary Player to transform the parcel of land near Malelane into a world class course.
Was lucky enough to play Durban CC and Selborne in December on my first trip to SA. Both were great value, only about £15 and £10 a round and were very friendly. The 17th at Durban is 'different'. You only really appreciate it once you're down the fairway. I loved Selborne. I'd recommend the 'par 5' breakfast 😋. Tip for the 3rd, don't aim for the left side of the green ⛲. Even putts wanted to go for a swim. If you have time after Selborne I recommend the Lake eland Reserve about 1 hour away. Animals (giraffe, zebra etc), rope bridge thingy & 4.5ks of zip lines over gorges 👍🦸🏻♀️😰
Selborne is superb! Great track...maybe even my favourite from the tour.

I'm from Durban, Prince's Grant, 20 minutes from zimbali is a great course. Cotswold Downs is brilliant and tough.
can make a good tour within a tour playing Selbourne, Umdoni, San lameer and Wild Coast sun, take a look at them and if you ever end up at Umdoni have the fish and chips

Try Serengeti, Glendower and Royal Johannesburg and Kensington East course next time you're here. all within 15 minutes drive from landing at the airport in Johannesburg

What sort of budget do you need for a trip like that Rory?

All depends on your overall itinerary my friend.
We have flight inclusive packages including a week's accommodation and golf hovering around the £1300 mark for Durban and the Kwazulu Natal Province which is where we spent most of this trip.
When you throw in marquee venues like Leopard Creek the price starts to go up a little.
