      Omg ikr!? I was checking the comments to see if anyone actually thought of that, I have too dogs and they aren’t even nice to strangers but i know if someone broke in they would run. NOW IF I WAS WITH THEM AND THEY SHOWED SIGNS OF HURTING ME I believe schnitzel(German shepherd) would and my other dog Bourbon(Rhodesian Ridgeback) would too, bourbon attacked my dad in clear light when he was tickling me so I mean :p and schnitzel attacked/ charged my dad in the dark(didn’t attack technically because he went to charge and Brian said schnitzel!? So he realized it was him) so I believe they would if I was there :)

    Our Italian Mastiffs were the best guard dogs we've ever had, especially our female. She saved us from a couple bad situations while walking home alone at night, and a few home invasions. It was natural instinct. But you absolutely need to properly train and socialize them, breeds like the cane corso, rottweiler, doberman, belgian malinois, etc. They're definitely not for inexperienced dog owners.

  • @SpeedCultureStudios
    @SpeedCultureStudios Před 6 lety +70

    Most of these tests are misleading. First of all, dogs don’t care about our personal possessions, so when an intruder comes in to rob us and we are not home, as long as the dog does not feel threatened, they aren’t going to do anything-unless trained.
    Second, dogs feel emotion and react to it. A real intruder is going to be full of Adrenalin, anxiety, fear and nerves. This will cause a dog to react much differently than when some guy in a bite suit walks slowly in with no ill will or crazy intent. Dogs will just be curious-they can feel he means no harm so why would they bite?
    Finally, our pets react to our emotions and our feelings. If they sense that we are afraid they can tell something is wrong and may feel the need to protect us. Especially if they are with a family member that they know is ranked lower in the “pack.” Our dog is very protective of our daughter when she is in bed, for example-even from us. He knows she is vulnerable and cannot protect herself as she sleeps so he makes sure no one bothers her. I can only imagine his reaction if someone broke into our home while he was alone with her and she was afraid. I don’t think anyone would be dumb enough to even try once they saw him sitting in the window waiting.
    We need to see a true scenario with full emotions and adrenaline involved. No bite suits and cameras in empty homes. You’re crazy to think a yellow lab is going to just bite or attack someone that doesn’t even look human in a bite suit and comes in with no intention of harming anyone or anything. We need to give dogs more credit. They are much smarter than we think.

    • @bigchungus920
      @bigchungus920 Před 5 lety +4

      One Fine Trek specific dog breeds will protect your stuff. They are bred for that. Also dogs don't have to be trained to protect their house or owners. The reason these dogs don't attack is because they are treated like babies. Trust me if you had a German shepherd, pitbull, Rottweiler, or a lgd, ever trained it but kept it outside chances are will be a great guardian dog

    • @SpeedCultureStudios
      @SpeedCultureStudios Před 5 lety +3

      cartoon craver That’s only partially true. Some dogs are naturally protective, yes, but do not naturally care about your human possessions. It’s just the truth. My pit-Rottweiler mix is very protective naturally, but he is protective of us. I am not sure what his reaction would be if someone tried to rob us when we are not home. I wouldn’t want to be a robber and find out, however!

      They are not much smarter than we think. More than that, they are even less intelligent than some people would think. They can't feel fear or sense harmful people by smelling them. It's just bullshit.

    • @SpeedCultureStudios
      @SpeedCultureStudios Před 5 lety +5

      Valentin Dinca Everything you said is completely false. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking. And it would appear that you’ve never had a dog.
      They absolutely can feel fear. I’ve seen many examples of fear in dogs of all breeds. Cowering from loud or strange noises or showing aggressive behavior out of fear. They also feel and show sadness and happiness-not that has anything to do with intelligence.
      And no, they don’t “smell” bad people. Dogs can feel and react energy-this has been proven. They have evolved along side humans for thousands of years and have picked up on our moods, energy, and states of mind. Dogs can warn us of oncoming seizures as they can detect changes in our bodies.
      Dogs will react to negative energy-each in their own way, but they most certainly can feel it. It’s best to not speak on a topic that you know little to nothing about.

    What I’ve gathered from these burglar dog test videos is that if you want noise have atleast one small dog and if you want potential protection have atleast 1 big dog. But if you want actual protection get a big dog and get it trained to be a guard dog.

    My parents own a pure breed golden retriever that is generally very sweet but is all teeth baring, loud angry barks, arched back and hissed fur when strangers are standing outside the front door or outside the garden's walls. When they're outside he sounds and looks like he wants to maul them. However, once their inside the house/garden, he acts all loving and submissive. I think it's a territory issue more than anything because he will especially act like that in the garden, which is his turf. And while there is a few times where I was worried he was being way too agressive towards visitors, in some way I think it is good because he is very scary and angry when you first see him in that state and I bet he would deter a few robbers from breaking in.

    The guy is wearing a bite s a real threatuit and smells like dogs. I don't think these dogs felt a real threat. I have two, a 90 lb Lab/Husky with a big deep voice, and a 115 lb Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix with an even deeper voice. I have had someone invade my home when i had fallen asleep on the couch. It went very badly... for the home invader. he took almost 60 stitches. Year later tackled someone who was trying to break into my garage and while struggling with him, the dogs latched onto him. The Great Pyrenees cross is quite formidable when it comes to protecting me.

      My labrador x american pitbull terrier is an insanely loyal dog, shes a socialite loves people and other animals but when unknown people are near my house she goes absolutely wild and lets off a ripper of a bark. Shes quite small but she has a huge, deep and intimidating bark. If someone unknown enters our front gate she will bark, growl and bail you up against the fance or in a corner and will not leave you until someone comes out. We almost had a break in but Lexi was there and went crazy, lets just say that person left a fair few amount of stitches.

    Having owners around would give them confidence , you know it's a trip some dogs are biting people for no reason at all , When in these cases you can't even get a dog up fight when there is a reason too.

    I've always wondered. We know the typical house dog might not do a thing. What if the dog was "trained" as a "guard dog" by one of these companies and the owner wasn't there....no one to protect. Would they still? Would it still do "it's job"? In these S"training company videos" the trainers are being "attacked" with the dog's tails always wagging as if it were a game. What if the home intruder wasn't familiar, wearing normal clothing, what if one was carrying a bag of dog treats, what if the intruders began beating the dog with a bat or stabbing it with a knife? Would it STILL "protect" or save it's hide? What if some kids climbed in a window--no owner present? I'd like to REALLY test these dogs.

    Bark or bite - People must protect Dogs and their properties ! Don't use Dogs as guards, ...Love Dogs like You love Yourself, comfort them, understand them, and always help Dogs. * Place human-dog friendship and great love above everything, in first place. STOP KILLING DOGS. * BAN breeding Dogs. Forbid Dogs euthanasia. BAN poisoning Dogs. STOP HIGH KILL SHELTERS. STOP KILL SHELTERS COMPLETELY. Animals must be with only those, that can provide them with the best care and real love.
    Dogs are the most tortured animals in the world. Every year, millions of dogs are thrown out into homelessness. They are needlessly bred, mistreated, tortured, killed through homelessness and by pervert caretakers who breed dogs for sale or for food, leather, fur. BAN CRUELTY TO ALL DOGS. THE LAW MUST BE CHANGED. Ban using Dogs to fight. Stop chaining Dogs. Ban leaving Dogs outside in Winter and bad weather - Dogs must be with the best Caretakers in loving homes. Dog Lovers must do more, even with giving opinion.
    Dogs that are not wanted should be put down with morphine, if they cannot be put for adoption and taken by very loving persons.
    Ban dog breeding. Dogs should live up to 100 years, like the Dingo's in ecological and clean nature, where soil, water, air and food were pure.
    Almost all shelters should be closed, except a few that are government approved and sponsored to preserve the species, and where the dogs will be bred in very small amounts for the pure love of the species - not through rape that is done by most breeders, or even forcing dogs to mate, or in-vitro which is also forcing to breed. A loving owner does not have to sterilize his pets because his/her care is so good that mating is not allowed. Sterilization is against nature, it's very painful, deprives the body of needed physiology, hormones, deprives the body of a natural way of cleansing itself and accelerated aging, also causes psychological changes that are unnatural. Dogs were since thousands of years humanity's friends around the world, among all the other animals. Within the last decades, in literature, within scientific circles, among artists and also among common folks - dogs are being treated as best friends and loved the most.
    Stop using Dogs and all other animals for testing in labs. * What happened with all these sweet Dogs, and what will happen ? OUR DOGS ARE OUR CHILDREN, OUR MOST BELOVED FAMILY. All channels, organizations, should check on their Dogs ( rescued, adopted, having, showed...). Wishing all Dogs loving forever hearts, good homes and the best Caretakers.
    Every dog at home, must have a litter box accessible at all times, because this is the animals health, it suffers without it, and this is a cause of pains and ailments which become more severe over time. Almost all owners mistreat their dogs, ordering them to hold their needs and relieving themselves only when it is convenient for them. The dog is the only animal in the world, that man forces to relieve itself only when it is proper for him/her, which is unacceptable abuse. A dog must clean its body as often as it needs, by itself and whenever it needs it. A dog is the only pet friend kept at home that cannot - is not allowed to - relieve itself at home. When we take a dog home to be our friend - and all dogs should be treated as such - it needs, close to its bed, a litter box. Especially when it is older or sick, because it can have more than one bed at home, depending on the apartment/house size. These places must be dry, warm and clean, but not hot or cold, not where there are chemicals. The bed must be well washed and very well rinsed to not leave any chemicals, like for small babies. It is not understandable, and not forgivable, that people keep dogs at home without a litter box, and they say that they love dogs and that dogs are their friends. Many people abuse dogs and even throw them out on the street (make them homeless), because dogs can't keep their needs and relieve themselves at home at some point. Some even have their dogs put down for this. That's why many dogs that suffer, because they cannot relieve themselves at home, and suffer pains, have difficulties with breathing, and increasing ailments - can sometimes vandalise things at home, are restless, howl, cry or lie and cannot move.
    A doggie toilet can also be a canalized shower tray/shower base. Dogs should never use a human toilet, because it is dangerous for them, not only difficult. Respect their abilities.
    Remember that a dog feels like a person - suffering, pain, the need to relieve itself, it needs to go out and get fresh air and movement. It needs to be able to move at home and outside, and be safe. People are responsible for their safety.
    A dog must have drink as much clean water, as it needs. A dog cannot eat only food that is made specifically for dogs, especially low quality, because it will get very sick. No irradiated foods. Avoid artificial preservatives, flavoring, colorants.
    A dog owner eats more than one meal per day, and they are balanced for nutrition and taste. Everyone needs a balanced diet for health and taste, no one can withstand the same kind of food, all the time, which not only is disgusting, but also causes ailments. The dog is forced to eat what it is given by its owner, but it should be able to always pick, to always have a choice of variety.
    Love dogs, because they deserve it. Take care of them very well. Remember, that dogs are dogs, that they have their specific needs and their ways of being, of their species. Since hundreds of thousands of years, people all around the world, treated Dogs as their best friends and dearest household members. Never use dogs for sex, it must be forbidden.
    Scientists talk about growing meat on shelves (production for testing purposes has successfully begun) - of many animals - which would be the best for our world today, because there won't be animal killing, which is barbarian and very painful. This would be most humane. The world needs such technology, which would be not only most humane but also ecological. 🐕🐾 🌷🌷🌷 People who rescue dogs and other animals are really great. We appreciate your sacrifice. Many people love a dog like a dearest person, like a best friend. Best Wishes! 🐕🐾 🌷🌷🌷

    You want a fearless warrior of a dog? Get a Caucasian Ovtcharka/sheperd. You must feed them raw meat, not cooked. And they only trust their loved ones. They don't need to be trained in guarding and fighting because it's in their DNA to do just that. They do need training in socializing. But still, they only trust family.
