When I was in engineering school we learned about how there are space grade electronics that can take a beating that is expected throughout the lifetime of the product. Am I assuming right why ground based consumer electronics and infrastructure is not hardened to withstand extreme solar related events is because of cost?

I appreciate you doing your part to combat the "Global Warming" narrative. Though you didn't specifically mention it, and I say this for the benefit of your viewers as I'm sure you are aware, the solar cycles also affect Earths temperature. We can only hope that people "follow the science" as they love to say.
