  • Today on the smallholding I am showing you how I as a novice graft my fruit trees. I believe this method is the simplest way for beginners. Also grafting fruit trees is a much cheaper way than buying a small single tree, you can get 6-10 stocks for around the same price.

    I learnt how to do it from Steven and have had good results, Iv'e got a tree to do this coming week, the Scions are in the fridge. Thanks for the great reminder video.

    How long until you remove the tape, please? I had to re graft a crimson sentry after accidentally snapping it where it was grafted originally whilst in transit. I almost cried! It's around 12 ft .. it was a rush job , did the same as you, but i used cling film and lots and lots of cable ties to the supporting steak, which luckily didn't break.

      I think I removed my apple grafts after maybe 4-6 weeks or so, I think once the sion wood is shooting it shows it’s healed and has made a successful union
