  • Today on the smallholding to help me with the watering I have connected my water pump to a solar power system and built a new battery and invertor storage box.

Nice addition Sir - just a tip, but the inverter will draw power (.5amp or so) just being in stand-by, so a trigger from the pump to turn on the inverter if used for auto-watering would be a good addition :) I have lower power & cheap submerged (1 bar) pumps in barrels which run water between barrels and run a hose enough to water softly to avoid the inverter (so far :)).
Enjoying the vids, keep it up - where are you, I am in South Wales and would love as big a problem (plot ;)) as you have, but the allotment will do for now :) cheers!

Sooner or later you will need more power for all your lights and needs so keep an eye on big solar panel 250+ wats and get to leisure battery’s 120 amp each connected in parallel you will never worry about power for your needs there
Thanks for taking time making your videos I do enjoy watching them 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great set up, but why don’t you just run a 12 V pump straight off the battery

I don’t think a 12v pump would be as powerful and I already had this one, it’s also nice to be able to use my power tools without having to lug my generator down there, the inverter has been great so far
