- Or Duel at Diablo ? This funny Alien Isolation glitch movie shows how to trap the Alien. The idea for this remarkable trick is not my own. It' s functioning and makes a part of the game much easier. Was this purpose of the developers or not ? They easily could have removed this possibility by changing map design a little bit. Interesting the end: If death animation starts, no barrier can stop the Alien.

The music made me so happy! I just imagine Ripley running with a flare wearing the derpiest grin known to mankind. Trapping the alien and casually dancing away without a care in the world, heck, maybe even throw in a twirl too!

This is what happened in the original script for Alien 3. Ripley and the inmates succeed in trapping the Xenomorph in the storage area but the traumatised inmate in the medical bay who encountered it earlier (the one who keeps calling it a “dragon”) sneaks off to go see it and releases it again.

They broke out of WYs confinement too by intentionally injuring themselves and using their acidic blood to burn through the walls.
Yeah I figured this out while I was playing this game, I was so happy but then of course the alien teleports out later in the mission

I mean when it's confirmed later on that there are multiple aliens on the station wouldn't it be safe to assume that any other alien encountered after the lock down could have been...another alien?

They need to put a hidden Easter egg where if you do this, the game will give you an achievement and Waits will say something like “How the hell did you pull that one of Ripley!?

I'll never forget this video, because it introduced me to this great piece of music. I remember I introduced this to my college roommate, who is a big Ennio Morricone fan, and this definitely fits into that style of spaghetti Western music, and he loved it.

I'm sure i've seen somewhere the video, where he just vanishes from the isolated space. I suppose you can't lock him for long enough. The game's not gonna allow this
Unfortunately the game doesn’t let you trap the Xenomorph except in scripted events. It just teleports out. The game devs really didn’t want to make things easy for us.
@@Sorakeyblademaster37 They didn't think for sure , the creature doesn't have teleport powers but ops they just gave him that ability

This can be perfectly done without bugs. The doors are opened by that moron Ricardo anyways and the alien escapes, so the game continues without any problem.
The reason why the alien "pass through" was because he got too near and the alien attack script was activated. I presume since it had no way to escape there was a glitch and the programmers forced the alien to attack you (to avoid problems if the alien appeared in a place were it couldn't move or in some room that get's locked)
Pretty accurate analysis, this can happen at some other locations too (especially when doors are just shutting), that these qicktime events are triggered. In this case the general AI engine didn't even realize that Alien was trapped, otherwise it would vanish into thin air respectively vents.
I presume this vanish didn't happened because the game indeed will allow him to escape no matter what (which means this trick was indeed thought by the programmers).
I would have liked instead of the vanish popup, the alien moves out of your sight, to make it at least a WTF happened? is better no explanation than a vanishing at plain sight, like when it's trapped on the Morley's office hallway
There was a time when i thought that this was something like an intended easter egg by reason of odd map design at this place. Today i'm prefering sluttishness as explanation after finding much more strange places.
For instance most doors on Seegson 2nd floor will not open for Alien, so you can trap it there in the secondary corridor right beside the save point too.
It seems the developers intended to have a sort of "safe heaven" play, where you have specific places to trap the alien.
Knowing those, plus learning the scripted places for the alien to show up, can help you to solve the game very quick
Well but that's some bullshit excuse . The Alien can't pass through solid objects like if got some super power . If the devs didn't think about that , they fucked up ; no wonder with the bulletproof bs too

The player is allowed to cheat a lot more than the alien. Even on nightmare difficulty. Sometimes it sees you and hisses but isn't allowed to attack

Once you beat the game and aren't afraid to die anymore it's so much fun experimenting with how to distract or kill the humans and Androids and deter the alien.

cool how it shows that the game actually works by having the player die by having the alien sprite get 1 unit close rather than actually touching like real life, then it plays one of the death animations before asking if you want to reload or quit. its the same with the vents. they are actually teleporters and the jump is an animation so it can't see you when doing it. the developers never expected anyone to do this so they made the barrier thin therefore the alien could get close enough to win

I did this and I can confirm it's real. It's not hard either. All you have to do is go here and run in a circle a couple of times and it will come into the room. With the hiding spots it's easy enough to throw a flare in without being seen. The alien is attracted to running so much in order to stop players from running through the game and so never get caught if the alien can't keep up. Keep moving forward, if it sees you it will hiss, and only if you don't get out of the way while it's hissing at you, it won't attack. Even on nightmare difficulty

Nice question, i really don't know this exactly, maybe because i made this on easy or the Alien aggressivity was not triggered yet by game scripting mechanics. This game is sometimes surprising.
