- The first step in the STarlet Nights project is to make it look amazing, but 24 years of neglection have made the paint quite opaque and dull.
In this episode, we try to bring the mighty Toyota STarlet back to its original glory and shine and (to our surprise) we obtain an amazing result!
It's worth noting this was our first time carrying our the whole process, so hopefully this noob-level tutorial will help you as well in your car journey.

Paint has held up remarkably well honestly,most Starlets' paint starts to peel and fade pretty early,as is the case with mine haha
yeah I was surprised, being a single-stage paint helps because it just oxidises and becomes new once buffed. Most other paints have damaged clear coats which can't be repaired, unless going full respray
just one tip id break the claybar into smaller pieces so you canfeel the grit and now when to stop

are you planning on turbocharging this starlet? Im from america and have a car with the same platform (the toyota NL50 Saloon) the same engine (almost) and same suspension parts, nice video, cheers mate
Yes the plan was to turbocharge it, however there might be chnages coming up
Hey man, what buffing and polishing pads are those? Looks like they worked pretty good without burning through the paint
These were 3D buffing pads, worked very well indeed!
