Kyoya is played by Satoshi Hino, both Kyojuro from Kimetsu no Yaiba and friggin’ Sebastian Moran from Moriarty the Patriot. That’s why the octave difference is so high.

Well, this was a tournament in which multiple strong bladers participated. I think that it was expected from all of them to withstand enough attacks in order to win in the final match. His losses against Gingka weren't due to plot armour either. He was pushed back multiple times against Ryuga even before Ryuga was possessed (though it is certainly true that Ryuga was pushed close to his limit). What does it mean to say that someone has plot armour? It means that they escape a difficult situation in a way that goes against the established rules of the world for the sake of the plot. But Ryuga's victory doesn't go against the rules. We have always known that Ryuga is extremely dedicated to becoming stronger, and L-Drago is one of the world's strongest beyblades. Its ability to steal the powers of others to make itself stronger was also present from the very beginning of the Metal Saga.
