    This is a perfect winter forecast for me for southern Ontario. Winter is my favourite season and I love having cold and very snowy winters especially when Christmas is around the best time of the year 🌨️🥶☃️❄️☕️🎄❤️. I hope I get dump loaded with lots of snow this upcoming winter and my plan is I want to break my record of building the biggest igloo possible and I am going to need a lot of snow for that and the good thing is I can save any kind of snowfall that I get and keep it from melting during if they are any warmer days that have to pass by and then after work my way up to make the igloo bigger. Thanks for the winter forecast 😁.

      @Shonade_Malik Před 24 dny

      Hello again! I live in London Ontario, which city are you in? One thing I've learned over the past few years is that you cannot really expect very cold winters anymore. These weather forecast videos keep expecting colder than average temperatures yet they're much warmer than usual. Global warming has changed so much, can't even get a single -20°C like we always used to anymore. Even if this winter is a bit colder than last year, it definitely won't be anything like 2013 - 2017. During those times temperatures would plummet to -30°C kinda often and cold temperatures were very consistent.

    • @Clouds-su3dc
      @Clouds-su3dc Před 24 dny

      @Shonade_Malik hi I’m around Toronto but away from the city farther north, I have it a few degrees colder here than your area on average. I know that climate change may be causing our temperatures to get warmer, but one good thing we have to at least know about it is it increases precipitation and when ever the temperature gets cold enough, and the precipitation comes with it on the right time it will increase more snowfall and more snowfall means more sunlight heat being reflected back to space keeping temperatures colder which is good in those cases so maybe this time because of La Niña favouring colder, and wetter conditions we will have a better chance for the same colder winter as we used to be getting the good colder winters from before.

    • @Shonade_Malik
      @Shonade_Malik Před 24 dny

      @@Clouds-su3dc The La Nina in the winter of 2022 - 23 did not have nearly as much precipitation compared to 2015 or 16 for example. That was an El Nino year as well, I think. Climate change has significantly reduced snowfall. I remember the deep snow our city used to get, but unfortunately we don't even come close to that anymore. I get that you're hopeful about a colder and snowier winter -- I was too, but I'm losing it over time.

    • @Clouds-su3dc
      @Clouds-su3dc Před 24 dny +1

      @Shonade_Malik I totally get what you mean! It's a bummer how the winters are not as cold and snowy as they used to be. Hopefully, with La Niña in the picture this time, we might get lucky with more snowfall and colder temperatures and remember like I said hopefully we get the above average precipitation happening at the right time when the temperatures are actually cold enough so that more snow can fall and then once you have more snow on the ground it can reflect more sunlight heat back to space keeping the temperature colder automatically. Remember a lot of snow on the ground can strengthen cold fronts as much as 3x more than usual. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a winter like the good old days!

    • @weatherataglance6075
      @weatherataglance6075  Před 13 dny +1

      Awesome question. So as for your region along the Shenandoah Valley along the Allegheny Mountains, I would say you could still count on the in between patterns. Despite the geographical features of your region having a role in the weather, these climatic patterns have more of an influence over all which is why I believe your weather could be back and forth with that of the north and the south. So basically, you could see warmer weather from the south if ridging is persistent which allows warmer weather up north, however, if a low pressure system is able to travel far enough south with some troughing, you could see some far colder weather and even some decent shots at snowfall this winter season. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

      I'd say as of now judging on the type of pattern we are in, however deep arctic blasts occur from rather sudden atmospheric events such as the Polar Vortex and when it becomes weakened by sudden stratospheric warming. When this happens, very large cold air swaths can suddenly descend from the north and rushes south over the typical period of a few days. This can cause immense cold and severe weather events, however these events are typically rare and far and few in between. So with that being said, it is a little tricky to pin point such atmospheric events this far out. I would say as for now though, without the chance of a sudden stratospheric warming event, your trees should be just fine go bear the typical cool conditions for the south, with an exception to some slightly warmer conditions at that as mentioned in the forecast for much of the southern United States. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask! 😊

      @@MrWarrenRetro We don't know for certain when the “next” El Niño will be so I cannot confirm or deny that statement. It's way too far out to predict.

      @@user-mq8dl3mj5m I can't predict an exact amount for you, however seeing as I am predicting slightly below average snowfall for your area, and your annual snowfall in an average season is 48”-60”, I would say you would be more around the 42”-48” rough estimate mark.
